I went to a seminar a few months ago where the speaker was promoting working with FSBOs to pick up buyers as loan prospects. His angle was to offer the FSBO seller help in pre-qualifying potential buyers and provide them with an Open House Sign-in sheet from which they would provide you names of potential borrowers. The speaker then went on to explain how you could then provide these pre-approved buyers to Realtors and have them indebted to you.
Has anyone ever worked a successful FSBO marketing plan? I'd appreciate any details as to how it worked.

I went to the same seminar a while back. Was it for closemoreU.com? The guy was pushing his $400, sales technique. If he was so good at why didn't he just originate, I would he would make more $$$ from that then selling his DVD.

I am putting together an fsbo marketing strategy and it should be finished pretty soon. It has to do with eliminating all FLAT FEE REALTORS like HELP U SELL among others because we can do the same thing they can like NEWSPAPER ADS and WEBSITES yet we can do it for our customer totally free because we make our money as BROKERS (Think of it as spending money on leads). We are GODS among realtors.ha!

All we are doing is providing a VENUE for fsbo's to advertise. THATS IT!

The advantage the flat fee Realtors have is the ability to display the property in the MLS. I was a Realtor for many years. Few homes are sold via Open Houses, newspaper ads, flyers, or yard signs. Most buyers are procured because they saw the home listed in the MLS online or their agent shows it to them.
