218 voted "AYE" including 1 republican and there were 3 no votes. I don't care if you vote yes or no, but no vote? Come on... those 3 people have no spine.

Oh, da source, da source.

http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2009/roll887.xml

The NV are not listed.

Also, rumor is the Dems "excused" a few for voting no, so not to lose their seat in 2010.

This bill has a long way to go, yet. And the longer it's out there, the more it can be read, the more opposition. I saw somewhere the Senate is going to put forward a motion to read the bill in its entirety.

Sounds like another trip to Capital Hill.

If that happened, so even if you support it, vote what serves your personal best interest instead of letting your constituents know how you really feel so they can make informed decisions...I'm sure Reps do it to and it ***** a it deceives the voters...

The final vote should tell you what a steaming pile of cow crap this bill is. When Pelosi lies her ass off, makes threats and bends over backwards to buy votes by making promises that she can never keep and still 20% of her party votes against it, I know it's know it's dead.

When it's passed by Congress with only 2 votes to spare, the chances that it passes the Senate are non-existant, especially after the true costs come out. If by some miracle it does pass the Senate, what do you think the chances of Congress & the Senate passing the final bill? Can you spell N-O-N-E?

I am wondering if Kucinich was one of those that traded a vote to protect his seat. My guys caved......and I am certain they will not be re-elected. In fact, by election time, having the POTUS campaign for them will be a handicap.

Do you know who in Florida voted for it? I could look it up, but I feel lazy this morning.

I was watching at the final 2:50 minutes remaining and there was 3 no votes. I guess they waited until the last second to make up their mind and voted.

Sorry, they didn't have the states, only the reps names. If they aren't on the list, they voted in favor. The reason there are some states indicated is because those are common names and there were at least 2 w/ the same surname, so they identified the state.

Here's a good read on the topic. Mentions the unconstitutional aspect as well as how the drug companies are screwing us with the help of past legislation among a host of other subjects...

Now that would be a real nasty surprise for Pelosi and BamBam, to have the Supreme Court declare HR 3962 unconstitutional. That editorial does a fine job arguing the case, I am betting the attorneys will have a field day with it. Funny, this is something ACLU would take on, but I wonder if they will.

Carter's vote to create the Dept of Education, because you know, the govt knew best how/what our kids should learn, passed by 4 votes, how's that bureaucracy and takeover of our education system working out for America?...

For people who are so confident in Congress' failure to pass significant healthcare reform, you all sure are a nervous bunch. The same people who were confidently predicting the bills death in the House are now predicting its death in the Senate. Oh well ... we shall see I guess. I am thrilled to see the House pass it although it has been weakened beyond my liking .. but I am pleased all the same.

Because you settle easier than most...So now it *****, but the Reps oppose it so you're still for it, you're a good party follower...Don't encourage them to make it better, just 'accept' it...That's what I teach my kids! NOT!

You are so full of shiit. You live in a make-believe world dude. Go ahead and do your thing and I'll do mine but stop pretending. Screw you and your judgement about me settling for anything. I want the strongest bill possible to be passed ... even if it is not strong enough for my liking. Yes ... I am ok with it. The bullshiit that the Right have been feeding people can be seen for what it is by enough people to push back. Yes, I am glad that enough Dems have the guts to tell the Reps to shove it ... and then move on to deliver significant healthcare reform to the majority of people who want it. That is how things work in the real world.

Continuing to work on what? The friggin Right will NEVER do anything about healthcare. Who do you think that you are bullshiiting dude? The Reps want many lifetimes to "think" about it but they will never do a damn thing. Go try that crap somewhere else ... not with me.

You better go back and reread. I can't think of anyone that thought it would definitely be killed in Congress. I think most of us knew it would survive the morons and be killed by the Senate. Even many Democrats that voted in favor last night, said they only did it to keep the bill moving and will vote against the final bill if it contains a public option.

I was actaually just reading an article that says the death of this bill is pretty much assured in the Senate:

The problem is that the Senate won't run with it. The government health insurance plan included in the House bill is unacceptable to a few Democratic moderates who hold the balance of power in the Senate.

If a government plan is part of the deal, "as a matter of conscience, I will not allow this bill to come to a final vote," said Sen. Joe Lieberman, the Connecticut independent whose vote Democrats need to overcome GOP filibusters.

"The House bill is dead on arrival in the Senate," Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said dismissively.

Democrats did not line up to challenge him. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., has yet to schedule floor debate and hinted last week that senators may not be able to finish health care this year.

Yeah yeah yeah .... so if it dies it dies. You people can continue to wish and pray but the process in Washington will continue. I'm ok with that. If it fails, I hold the Dems responsible because they are in power. I really could not care less what any Rightwingnut says of does ... but you all predicted that it would be dead already. What a bunch of jokers you all are.

If we wished that we'd be pushing for the health care bill like you...What could be more business as usual than the shenanigans going on there now?...

CMG, how do you like the DOE and how much they have advanced American students up down the ranking, totally opposite of their goals?...

Good intentions are fine but bad people and processes override the intentions...Everyone wants reform(cheaper but more coverage, the american way), the idea is the bomb but the wrong people are in charge of designing and implementing it(politician who have proven they do more to us than for us on both side of the aisle[I don't distinguish between a poop and terd like you, they're both still shiit]...

AMA's Endorsement of House Health Care Bill Sparks Internal Uprising

Some AMA members are outraged that the group's trustees made the endorsement without the formal approval of the organization's House of Delegates.
The American Medical Association's much-touted endorsement of the House health care reform bill has triggered a revolt among some members who want the endorsement withdrawn.

On Monday, delegates will vote on a resolution offered by some members that, if approved, will withdraw the AMA’s endorsement of the bill.

Maybe its celebrating the DOA assurance proclaimed by Sen. Linsay Graham and Lieberman's re-affirmation that he will vote against any bill that includes competition for his pet industry.

It is dead already... you're just to ignorant to realize it. There is no way in hell the public option or the current price tag pass the Senate and I've got $1,000 that says I'm right. You got the balls and a $1,000 worth of confidence tough guy?

Just what I thought... typical cowardly Dem!

Actually another stupid Independent... but thanks to the arrogance of Nancy Pelosi, I'm a stupid Independent that won't be paying for your healthcare!
