Nick, have never heard of Platinum Home Mortgate but will
appreciate your giving their website and number.

I am with a brokershop in Woodland Hills, near to my home,
but I occasionally do business with correspondents/brokers
on conventional loans because they have a bigger volume
and are approved with more banks and credit unions.

I am recommending these 2 correspondents/brokers:

Surety Financial Services www.Suretyfinancial.com
Sherman Oaks, CA
Priority Financial Network www.priorityfinancial.net
Calabasas, CA

Both are good and we got paid when we sent loans thru them.

Also, there is a larger correspondent/broker called

Skyline Financial in Encino that many experienced L/Os and
brokers went to work with them recently. Have never
done biz with them but they have track records as
lenders on public records in L.A.? A former Wachovia
A/E who used to my wholesale A/E is now working there.
They must be alright, as otherwise this good A/E would
have quit some months ago.

Good Luck.

Are these correspondent lenders nationwide?

Sean, they are not, I know PFN covers 12 Western States including
Colorado and Surety covers some Western States. Ascent Home Loan
and Clarion Mortgage, both of which are based in Colorado probably
cover more States.

You should talk to Bob who is specialized in placing L/Os to
the nation-wide correspondents about which nation-wide
correspodent you should interview with. I only know these
2 correspondents in L.A. area that are not really nationwide.

Good Luck.

The world of net branches and correspondents is so vast.
You should either consult an expert like Bob who is often
on the BO who knows the ins and outs, or call up these
lenders:

GMAC
Wells
B of A

and ask them to connect you with the correspondent department.
Then, obtain the information from them the names and contacts
of their correspondents in Northern Virginia.

The manger in charge of corespondent relationship will be able
to direct you to one of his active accounts and eventually
your business with the chosen correspondent will become his.
