An announcement from the 40-million member group is expected Thursday to endorse and backing the 10-year $1.2 trillion House bill. AARP says it's membership Dems, Repubs and independents, meaning it's endorsement will anger many members. Go Seniors!!!! |

>>>>From Aug/09: “We share the President’s commitment to act this year, and our members appreciate his insistence that any final reform package will not reduce Medicare benefits for the millions of people that literally depend on that program as a lifeline."
So they turned their backs or sold out the seniors as that bill has $428b in Medicare cuts....Go AARP! |

| AARP is a joke right now. The members are revolting. They have lost something like 100,000 members (not ones that died) from their support of Obama-care. |

I can't remember where I heard they were landing, but another senior organization is setting membership records with those telling AARP to "**ck off." Our local Fox ran a story on this about 2 months ago (or whenever Bam Bam falsely stated AARP backed his plan). |

AARP *****. They want Part D gone as fast as they can, because it's allowing so many people to save tons of money by having low-cost alternatives to their sucktitude.
Common theme these days. It's too bad so many people just don't get it. Low-cost competition has saved many lives. |

| ...just about every truth and organization of character is a joke to you djorge44. Since you're only one opinion on one forum, I'll place my bet on AARP. |

How much do you think AARP was paid for their endorsement? |

| Isn't it funny how those that make no money and pay no taxes, are the ones fighting the hardest to pass this bill? If they would only put that much effort in to working for a living, they wouldn't need to ask for freebies! |

They were paid enough not to care about losing more members. |

I just heard that surgeons, anesthesiologists, and some specialists are meeting tomorrow and may hold a press conference to withdraw their support of the AMA endorsement. Word is patients are calling their doctors, blasting them for supporting the bill. "What are you talking about?"
Uh oh, sounds like someone spouted off without checking w/ the membership. You know, like AARP did 2 months ago (and probably this time, too). |

| AARP did the same thing, the same medicare cuts they were against are still there...I think they found a way to sell more supplemental coverage by allowing the govt to cut medicare or they believe they will never make the cuts when the time comes per their history... |

| Guess they don't care about membership. Look at the coverage of those on Capital Hill. It's a sea a grey hair. I promise you those folks will dropping their AARP membership. |

The AMA claims it's 29%. Others claim it's anywhere from 11%-25%. |
