So Mr. Boehner, are you saying that RHINOs are infact welcomed into the Republican "big" tent? I bet it looks big from where he is standing. If only he'd step outside the "big tent" he'd see how smal it really is. Oh well ... I hope that nobody tells him the truth ...

Boehner also told CNN Chief National Correspondent John King that Republicans will have “a difficult road to walk to work with relatively new entrants into the political system to show them, that by and large, we are the party that represents their interests.”

But Boehner also tried to downplay the significance of Saturday’s surprise announcement by moderate Republican Dede Scozzafava who decided to bow out of a hotly contested three-way race in New York’s 23rd Congressional District.

“This is a pretty unusual situation,” Boehner said of the decision by conservative Republican Doug Hoffman to run against Scozzafava on the Conservative Party ticket in Tuesday’s special election. “Clearly,” Boehner observed, [Scozzafava] would be on the left side of our party.”

Notwithstanding that GOP civil war that brewed in New York’s 23rd district until Scozzafava’s announcement Saturday, the leading House Republican said his party still casts a big, welcome tent to all those who would call themselves Republican.

I'm sure you thought there was a point to this, but I don't see it.

Well, it kind of sounded anti-Republican, so Faux liked it's tone.

What nobody bothered to figure out, she (Scozzafava) would be on the RIGHT side of her voting constituents, and likely would have won without the outside interference!

Can these numbnuts get any dumber?

If she was on the Right side of her constituents then the district is NOT the conservative district it everyone is calling it. They may have voted for a R congressmen for years, but she is in NO WAY conservative.

The only thing conservative about her is her former affiliation with the Republicans, she is pro-union, pro-choice, big spender, etc.

Just like ALL the R's that vote her in, year after year by a 2-1 margin! That's the way ALL NY R's are? Where the fck do Conservatives get off saying she's not Conserv enough? It's not a CONSERVATIVE District, it's a RELIABLE, NY R District! Wake up! The people running the R Party are running it into the ground!

What a laughing stock! I wouldn't dream of going to FL and telling the Dems that their Candidate isn't Liberal enough for my tastes, I'm going to run a Green Party challenge that will guarantee a R victory because of principles? Fck PRINCIPLES! You get principles when you get your seat IN Congress, not by keeping an ally out!

How STUPID can Mr. Steele, and the Cons wannabees be? They just threw a GUARANTEED R seat down the shiitter! Nice work by Mike Tysons Brother-in-law!

Damn the needs of the local communities ... up with those "principles" and ambitions of the outsiders. Upstate NY people deserve what they get from those outsiders if they fall for the intereference and money, both of which will move on to other areas of the country by midnight tomorrow. I bet those county Republican chairmen are feeling just wonderful now that their local election has been hijacked by Palin and company.

Her name remains on the ballot and it would be interesting to see how many voters will still vote for her.

Is that what "everyone" is calling it? I have heard it called a Republican district, a GOP district and yes, a conservative district. So Sarah Palin is the new "decider" for who is really a Conservative and who is not?

McCain spawned this monster for the party and that is why I just love to see her waging war on the party today.

This is the most intelligent movement I've seen in a number of years. Obviously, you are way to partisan to understand it.

It's called principle over party. Many have a difficult time with the concept as it forces the individual voter to think as an individual.

Had there been an actual Primary to determine the Rep candidate, Hoffman would have won easily and thus no "third Party" candidate. Dede was chosen by 11 county chairs, not a vote of the electorate. Backroom deals rarely work out as planned. That is how McCain ended-up the 08 Rep nominee. How different would things be with a President Romney at the helm. You know, someone that has actual hands-on experience at fixing things.

Yo gotta be kinng me ... Romney? He is showing his weakness right now by not taking a position in the NY race. Waffle ... waffle ...

Do you think that the NY Republican party will now change to a primary process to select nominees?

CMG,

Romney would be immeasurable better than the Socialist in Chief at fixing the economy. He is smart enough to realize the government doesn't produce anything and thus can't create jobs. He would have not passed the stimulus and would have cut jobs. Yes we would have lost jobs under Romney, we would have lost government jobs. The only jobs Obama has added are freaking government jobs that come with tax payer paid pensions. That is just what we need (TIC).

Romney can't make a decision if to shiit or peee. He is a wuss and will never get the Republican party's nomination. He had one shot at it and he "died" early. Nothing else matters. Palin will kick his azz in the 2012 primary because the nutjobs will be in charge of the Republican party. I will register as a Republican just to vote for her in the Republican party primary. I want to see her in a debate with Obama.

Today's poll show a dead heat ...

ALBANY -- A new poll shows Conservative Doug Hoffman slightly ahead of Democratic nominee Bill Owens in the race for New York's 23rd Congressional District seat.

Republican Assemblywoman Dierdre Scozzafava (sko-zuh-FAH'-vuh) dropped out of the race over the weekend and endorsed Owens after weeks of criticism that she was too liberal to run on the GOP line.

The Siena College poll released Monday has Hoffman with 41 percent of the vote, while Owens had 36 percent. The number of undecided voters is up to 18 percent. Another 6 percent say they'll still vote for Scozzafava, whose name will remain on the ballot in Tuesday's special election.

Most days I don't believe you think at all. You're forever parroting the commentator opinions that appeal to you regardless of how far from the actual reality of the situation. However, it's your right to be proud of your ignorance. How was the Faux reveal on President Obama? I know you brought out the popcorn and called all your "we" friends I bet!!!
