This is quite shocking, and I have a tangential connection to McNair...

he played high school football for Mt Olive, MS, just before Connie and I moved to the the Gulf Coast.

One of our good mortgage originators (Salento, first names only) played against him on the high school fields, and Salento was himself a great football player.

He said Air was fantastic even way back then.

I wait to hear more about the kid from Mt Olive.

Latest report now has local police saying it
looks like a double homicide. A woman's body
was found at the scene along with McNair's.

Doubt it. He was found in a home with another woman who wasn't his wife (she was also killed). Doubt this has anything to do with injuries or pain. RIP.

DAMN, that's quite the shocker!!!!!

If someone would've told me that a star or ex-star NFL player was gonna get shot in the head and killed this weekend McNair wouldn't have even made my Top100 list if I would've been forced to guess. My heart goes out to his family, relatives & espc his 4 kids. At least he had a solid 13yr career & got to enjoy retirement for a few yrs before this crazy shiit that just ended his life.

This smells of a pro hit from dealers. The new girlfriend was apparently a well-known party-girl.

I haven't had time to hear the whole story, the story itself is shocking.

Ah, it now appears that the gun was found under her body and police won't say if she did it yet. The plot could be thinner than I thought.

#1) Don't Cheat on Your Wife

If you don't care to follow Rule #1;

#2) Don't Cheat on Your Wife w a Crazy Biitch

That being said, the only thing that bothers me about this story right now is that in most cases women don't pump 4 bullets into a guy then shoot themselves in the head in murder/suicide cases. Way too messy, loud & barbaric for most womens tastes. That's usu a man on woman thing, however if rule #2 isn't applied & the oppurtunity/motive presents itself (readily available gun, McNair says he's not leaving his wife & wants the Escalade back because of her DUI 2 night ago), if could & can happen.

Chalk the following up to wild speculation and insensitive commentary:

perhaps McNair's wife went beserk over her cheating husband, shot him enough times to insure that he was really dead, and then shot the mistress. Or shot her husband first, then the mistress, and turned back to pump more lead into McNair.

It would not be the first time a jilted wife killed the husband and girlfriend.

here's my speculation, his GF was crazy enough to do it because she was from Iran where she witnessed her mother get executed by militants before coming to the USA as a kid. That would make her fear & use of deadly force by a gun minimized big time. Also she just broke up w her ex 4mos ago after 4yrs & he wasn't too happy about it.

Those would be my 2 prime suspects w me leaning towards the Iranian GF personally. His wife no way, they have 4 kids together & I can't see her doing that unless she was bipolar or schizophrenic. He was worth far more to her alive vs dead & their house was for sale so I gotta feeling they were on the outs anyway. McNair wasn't bragging about his new GF but he also wasn't trying to hide his affair w the GF either, unlike like all these recent Senators, Congressman & AG's have been recently. That alone makes me have doubts McNairs wife had anything to do w it.

I'd look at where the gun came from & the GF's behavior, disposition & who she said what to since the DUI 2 days ago. & who McNair talked to at the clubs he was at hrs before his death. That's where the answer lies and w the high profile nature of this case they'll (police) have their best detectives working OT on this case until they get to the bottom of it.

Why stay married if you want to play? He should have tried getting a background check. Some people you just can't play with........
