Burried in a long thread already, but this speaks volumes of how the media performs.

Disagree with your "Yawn".
You have a reporter who went on National TV, making a statement as factual, then when cornered, admits he was less then truthful. Regardless of the extreme case of PDS you may have, this is just wrong and shows at least Mike Allen of Politico is not to be trusted. |

Of course it has. It's just with the 24/7 news cycle via cable, the internet and radio, it's a lot harder to get away with it. Whether left or right, it's a good thing. |

Yes, all media is biased. So are posters here.
It is human nature. There is no great discovery to be reported.
Read, listen, and watch a lot, then draw your own conclusions.

| The media was never biased ... right? I do not understand the right-wing/Conservative obsession with the media's bias. Faux isn't biased? Get real. STop blaming the media for everything as the media is there simply to make money for its shareholders ... nothing more and nothing less. |

Media bias is one thing. But to have the media so in the bag for the administration that it actually goes out and sells access to policy makers is beyond anything we have ever seen.
Yet that is what the Washington Post has done.
quote: For $25,000 to $250,000, The Washington Post is offering lobbyists and association executives off the record, non-confrontational access to “those powerful few” — Obama administration officials, members of Congress, and the paper’s own reporters and editors.
The astonishing offer is detailed in a flier circulated Wednesday to a health-care lobbyist, who provided it to a reporter because the lobbyist said he feels it’s a conflict for the paper to charge for access to, as the flier says, its “health care reporting and editorial staff.”
The offer—which essentially turns a news organization into a facilitator for private lobbyist-official encounters—is a new sign of the lengths to which news organizations will go to find revenue at a time when most newspapers are struggling for survival.

Posters have every right to be biased. Journalists, in their professional capicity, do not.
There is no longer a line between reporting and opinion. The two have become the same, and there lies the danger.

Who is a professional "journalist" these days? You are sounding like you are in yesteryear. Everyone with the desire to be a "journalist" is one today. The "media" now includes every person with a camera-equipped cell phone. Get with the times and stop whining about the "media". Then again ... don't. I think that I like it better when the GOP/Conservatives focus on blaming the "media" for their many faults and flaws. Carry on ...

| Reasons from what you speak Cool are the reasons the Dems will stay in control for many years to come. I also am elated that this is the mindset of the GOP please let them continue. |

The line never existed.
For a refresher see the fable "Six Blind Men And An Elephant."
The mere selection of news to be reported is a matter of bias. The tone of delivery is bias. Graphics are bias.
You are lamenting the passing of something that never existed.

The Obama followers have no complaints about press coverage so far. It's going to be funny to watch these same happy followers (including a few here) start to scream about bias themselves if the current uprising within the DC press corp gains momentum.
I'm old enough to remember a line between opinion and journalism. Sure, the line would be crossed from time to time, but not obliterated like it's been today.
