All mortgage related sites including ml-implode and Loansafe/Loanworkout have had major reductions in traffic over the past three months.

So are people just burned out and want to have nothing to do with anything related to mortgages?

The question is what has changed in the past three months to have reduced everyone's traffic by almost 50%?

I'm going with the theory that there are far, far less people in this business. I mean how many people even posting in here are still doing loans? I personally, am not. I was laid off about a month ago. Again. For the 3rd time in the last year. But this time I'm not going back.

These days I only come here for the wacky and fun political debates. However I suspect most people who used to frequent this forum are not as amused by the colorful characters who populate its ranks. So now that they've left the business, they no longer come to the website.

It is more like 50 people hitting the site multiple times per day.

The number represents visitors, not posters. There are thousands of people who view BO daily but never post.

because of off topic I am sure. Which is why the whole "we need an off topic" was a generated crisis. problem, reaction, solution.

I don't think that is the reason.
