When the frikkin election is OVER! We all know either way, neither party has anything promising for us at this point. I'm just exhausted with the abundance of political hate threads posted on here, mostly Obama supporters exuding how much they hate McCain.
Seriously some of you remind me of teenagers bickering in the quad. You guys should start a slambook club, just like they do in high school! You know at the end of the day, your bantering means nothing right? |

They are just being gun-shy. They've gotten so used to thinking they have it won, and then seeing the opposite happen, that they are gloating and fearful at the same time. It's the old trick of yelling more than the other guy and thinking you've won the argument that way.
It's just nerves. It's basically the same 3 people posting because the waiting is driving them nuts. Now I see they are bumping crap that is 3 weeks old. |

Huh? McCain supporters and some "independents" spread more vitriol here and everywhere else. Want to change the tone and tenor? Start doing so in your own threads and responses. I have been choosing to do just that.

Uh... maybe you didn't notice but it wasn't the Repubs who brought up the Ayers issue again... it was that bastion of conservative thinking... the NY Times... LOL

The facts show that Obama DID have ties to Bill Ayers, the fact that you can deny that really says alot, if you can accept it and know it to be true and still vote for him, that is your choice, not trying to change your mind. Dont deny the facts. |

My friend and former employee Jeff, was good friends with Bill Ayers, and started the Weather Undergound with him and their wives. As I've stated, an Academy Award nominated film was made about their lives. Does that somehow make me culpable?

And one of the biggest McCain supporters Anneberg funded the project that Ayers and Obama worked on, Doesn't that tie McCain to Ayers also?

No, maybe if your friend Jeff was running for POTUS then I would certainly question a "good friend" relationship. We both know the relationship with Ayes and Obama goes much deeper than that, it's not just about the association, no one cares about that.
Obama supported his radical movements and gave money to groups he was involved with, he also was the Attorney for ACORN, and was the "trainer" for these young people. That is more than an "association" ML, and you know it.
Listen, I am not trying to chnage anyone's mind, but to deny it is silly.
I would respect all you more if you just admited the relationships are a bit questionable but do not bother you enough to not vote for the man, that is your choice. But don't deny they exist. |

What about McCain association with Ayers?
Hillary tried this in the primaries and it did not work.
He was an attorney for Acorn.
Go back and watch Larry King last night, the head of acorn was on and she stated in plain english, if someone commited fraud while working for them, they should be punished.
She also stated they are required to turn in every voter registration card even if it filled out incorrectly or fraud might be involved.
The argument of voter fraud would be if the people actually were able to vote from being registered.
The incorrect or the Fraudulent ones will not be able to vote. |

I know Justin, it's ridiculous. I usually try and avoid any threads with the "infamous three".
I like debating with people that respect each others opinion, I have been caught up in their silliness in the past, but I try and avoid them for the most part. |

| Kathi, labeling is not my style. Just because I disagree with someone Else's views. Now that is considered not only childish but a little vindictive. If you want to feed into the negative chatter about Obama and believe that's entirely up to you. You're only one vote use it wisely! These buzz words (kool-aid drinkers) that you think are fashionable just because Fox News use them and you parrot behind them....is someone that usually can't think for themselves. I've notice it's quite a few of you on this blog. |

What is an ex-detroit michigander? I was raised in the upper pennisula of Michigan, and have lived the last 35 years in Traverse City. Havent been to Detroit in 20 years, and will probably never go there again. You are welcome to it. It is a cess pool, you fit right in. |

I would love for all of the crazy gnar Obama supporters to submit to an IQ test. High IQ means you can understand breakdowns and intricacies, I don't think most Obama supporters truly understand the breakdowns. They simply disagree with the "last 8 years" and "feel" he will change things. I didn't say ALL of you, just some, so if you get offended and start typing with diarrhea of the finger tips, I will presume you are one of them.
Obama won't change things, McCain won't change things... our country going through the cycle which it has created will cause change however. We are in the negative end of the cycle, and trudging through this will make us better as a whole.
THERE IS NO QUICK FIX, THIS GOES FOR BOTH MCCAIN & OBAMA!!! |

| It's only a cesspool because you were part of the destruction. I'm part of the rebuilding. Although I live in the richest county in MI. I continue to do my civic and personal best and encourage the people that have fallen on difficult times. You will probably be part of the destruction of another area....and high-tail it... blame it on someone else and brag about why you had to leave...it was the "others". There's a consensus that people reveal themselves when frustrated....I picked it up right away when you posted and made mention on several occasions "Detroit" particularly. When flipped back you had to clarify what area you once resided in the state. It was a weak transparent effort to present yourself a cut above someone else. Well this cesspool as you refer, with myself helping, along with others MI will recover. |

| If so many believe that neither Obama or McCain will be able to affect as much change as they both talk about, then what does it matter who votes for whom? I applaud ANYONE who votes, regardles of who they vote for. There are Dems voting for McCain and Reps voting for Obama ... so what? We live in a majority-rule society where we like it or not. My concern is for those people who refuse to accept the will of the people as expressed by their votes. How unAmercian is that? |

I'm glad Obama is peaking now and it's a very weak peak for where a Dem should be being they control the polls and media, 3 weeks is still an eternity left...
And I agree, I'm done with the political threads, it's all the same old same old by the same people who wouldn't change their minds regardless, so in my opinion, we got our views out and regardless, WE WILL come together as a nation as we bend over, spread em and take it for 4 more years...
After the election, we're all back on the same team, the "Screwed team", if we could only remember that during the election...
More than likely the only 2 things anyone here will be saying in 2 months is;
- don't blame me, I didn't vote for him or - I can't believe I voted for him but it would have been worse the other way(the ending will make you feel better) |
