are there any real people on this board that hunt, fish, live rural lifestyles on this board. Or all of you Armani wearing sushi eating metro-sexuals,(not that theres anything wrong with that) or am I the last of the folks? Im wondering if there are people that have ever caught their own meal,or grown their food or change their own oil. Is there anyone that values God, family, country, above all else? Im not looking for a fight so if this offends anyone, Im sorry. Im just trying to find out if Their are any like-minded people on this board. Rip me if you want, just wondering.

I actually value Saki, Sushi, and my 22 inch rims over all that crap! JK

Thats really pathetic if you think people who are 'city' types dont have values just because they enjoy certain things.

I for one am a city guy that dresses well and goes to nice places, but also love to fish, shoot a gun, play cards, barbeque up a steak...when I am not golfing! :)

I was a sniper in our US Marine Corps. Did Mountain warfare training in NorCal. Spent time soaked at Schwaab in Japan with bugs the size of a volkswagon eating me, managed to get lost in N. Africa outside Djibouti in a hot azz desert...

I'll take a hotel and warm bed any night of the week. You can have your dirt.

I enjoy a good pair of Stewart Weisman's every now and then a nice gucci bag and a diamond necklace.....however I can pitch my own tent, hike the wilderness, and camp in 30 degree weather....

Does that make me a "white Neck" girl???

Sushi is tastes great and is good for you, so plus one.
My favorite place to be when alone is in the gym or poolside.
My idea of a good time is going down to S. Beach or Brickell and making new connections and working on my Spanish.

I would think that could be on the end...but honestly metrosexual is not all bad. I mean who wants a man with narly feet and nails in terrible suits and not at all concerned about apperance. Yes it can get taken to far but their is always a middle ground.

hey....I did see my priest at my salon the other day getting some waxing done. He said he hates the ear hair sticking out it scares kids...He is certainly not metro...

Though I have no problem admitting I'm a somewhat metro, suburban socal guy, that is only half of the package. I've been fishing (fresh water and deep sea) & shooting guns (no game hunting) since I was a kid with my Dad and his friends. I'm also a horsepower enthusiast and have been working on quads and cars ever since I can remember. Have no problem changing my own oil, brakes, and other minor things on the auto platform.

Family vacations to the river, desert, and mountains happen probably once a month too. Does that make me American enough for you? :P

I've painted my house (exterior), put ridge vent on the roof and personally trimmed every palm tree in my yard which required a ladder and a pole saw this yr. I've also got a generator on standby in case I have to rough it for a few days during hurricane season.

Does this count?

Both of my parents are originally from West Va, the last thing in the world I'm allergic to is manual labor.

I think it's funny that a grown adult would have a preconceived notion of what a "Real Person" is as being a "Tough, hard working, rough weather" type person.

Sure that can be encumbered into a real person, but a REAL person can enjoy the benefits of technology and let the "wild man" out from time to time. It's in all of us, just some of us feel the need to keep him caged up. Others of us pretend to be tough by overdoing what a tough image is. A tough person, a real person, does what they enjoy and answers to anybody they respect, they don't have the "I don't need to answer to nobody" attitude.

Interesting topic. I grew up in a family that hunted and fished actively when I was young out of necessity, I believe my grandparents had a shotshell reloader mounted to their kitchen counter six months out of the year. I don't hunt as I don't care for the meat and believe killing an animal you aren't going to eat is an act of cowardice unless of course it is done without a firearm. I fish as much as I can, and eat everything I catch.

I am somewhat capable of repairing an automobile/motorcycle as it is one of my favorite pastimes, changing oil is a 30 minute affair for me. I don't garden, as I have no interest, however if you need drywall hung, baseboard set, and your sprinkling system repaired, I can do that.

I don't LIKE getting dirty but can and will, I prefer a nice set of shoes, shirt and pants and the only non-designer thing I own are my underwear.

I couldn't care less about God or it's existence, do not believe in Patriotism, but I love the country I live in. I try to spend as much time trying to improve the lives of strangers as I do my own.

I live at 7,200 feet on the side of a mountain that goes to 12,000+ feet (Sierra Blanca)

I have deer, bear, bobcats, cougar, skunk, turkey, coons, ringtailed cats, and occasionally stray cattle in my yard regularly. My wife and I own a goat ranch outside of San Juanito, Chihuhua that is even higher and more remote.

We kill it and grill it as a way of life. Ted Nugent is my hero. I drive a 4x4 Ford truck out of necessity, not as an urban fashion statement.

I've got enough guns and ammo to survive a battle. I like riding horses, fishing, and hunting. I wish John Wayne still made movies.

I know how to plumb, swing a hammer, and light electrical work. I don't like country music, I prefer classic rock. I like working on cars. My dream car is a '32 Ford highboy.

Call me a redneck and I'll punch you in the nose!

Fish with the kids as often as possible, out on the boat every weekend water skiing, tubing, fishing-

Went camping (in a pop-up camper) at least 5x this summer, built our 27x25 deck on the back of the house this summer with my father in law, and lift weights every day with my biz partner and take way too many supplements. Grill at least once per week, either at the office or at home, and wear the same uniform every day until it gets cold- polo or t-shirt, shorts and flip flops until the temp is below 55!

Def no metro-sexual D-bag garbage goin' on up in herrrrr!!!

Ps- tried growing our own pumpkins for Halloween last year as I thought the kids would get a kick out of it, but ended up with what looked like 1 small deflated football...so no attempting to grow our own food or anything for that matter!

Well dudes and gals, I can even begin to describe myself ... but I am very comfortable in my skin.

Small island (Carribean) birth so yeah ... hunting, fishing, sleeping on the beach, climbing coconut trees and handpicking the best nuts from the bunch for my drink (one swipe with a machete), etc, etc. I never knew one could buy a fresh vegetable in a store ... all of mine came from my own garden, fertilized by my own cows, pigs, ducks, chickens, rabbits.

Combine that with 35 years living in the New York City area (still loving guns, fast cars, hot women, no more killing of animals, etc. etc.

Do you think that I would have to be from Wasilla to be a "real man"?

Interesting question I have been wondering about since i joined BO.I go to all the conventions and see my competition in suits looking like they just graduated from qauntico.I myself like it all,From wearing my Armani suits to going to a NASCAR race.I would have never guessed that mortgageboarder had a mowhawk , although i remember reading a thread that someone else here does too.Since most people don't put there pic up in their profile, you can see me at myspace.com/rokker66 .I live in rural PA and i don't hunt but i like to fish,I play golf whenever i can,and enjoy any kind of outdoor festivity.

So what do I win , Johnny!!!!!!

I have owned 3 porsches,one viper,8 vettes,and a big old Z-71 Tahoe,a ducatti 996 and a Searay Sundancer 330.

I consider myself real but I'm definitely a city girl.

I don't hunt, fish, or camp and I'm a snob when it comes to hotels.

I don't care for jewelry or purses but I did just spend $58 on a pair of flip flops (thanks, Justin).

I can't fix a car and I don't pump my own gas but I have re-roofed a house, remodled my kitchen, laid ceramic tile, and done plenty of drywall work.

I value God, family, and country.

It takes all kinds. If we were all the same, we'd be bored.

I'm going to put them to bed tonight and head out snook fishing. There's nothing I enjoy more than catching our dinner. We jumped a 80-100# tarpon Monday night on 15# test. Had her on for 20 minutes before the leader gave. That fish helped me through the week.
Haven't hunted in forever, but do know how to field dress a deer.
I associate Rednecks w/ Confederate flags. I feel about Confederate flags the same way I'm beginning to feel about this HuffPaint. Ignorant POS.

Funny, Porsches are where it's at..

I just sold my 81 Coupe - it got featured in "Essential 911 SC" by Adrian Streather the 1st edition published a few years ago...Built it 6 years ago. I noticed the comment about the 993 - last of the real 911's. Damn straight. I want a 930 next..

Oh yeah, I dig building Domestics and "Good" sports cars- I don't drive japanese.

I can look like a redneck or Metrosexual- but in reality I could care less either way.

I would like it if more people included their picture. Everyone I've seen looks so different than I expected.
