let me point out why this article highlights the death of the american auto industry. this factory will be ready to go by the end of next year, even with 1.8 billion to work with. toyota can retool a facory in 60 days. detroit, 18 months. toyota took their scion line from concept to showroom in 6 months. american manufactures are shutting down brands. toyota converts a tundra truck line, to a echo, corolla and camry line in 60 days.
and then there is the final product. |

The are still making Jeep Cherokees during the changeover. They could speed things up if they shut down completely.
