Today is my final day in the mortgage industry. No more:

1). Lying LO’s
2). Rate shopping ‘mortgage expert’ clients
3). Wacky UW stips
4). Useless RE Attorneys
5). Last minute guideline changes
6). Appraisal cuts
7). Greedy realtors
8). Doom and gloom

But seriously I want to wish all of you sticking it out lots of luck. It’s been fun but I have a new baby on the way and can’t ‘wait out’ this horrible market. The mortgage business has a long way to go before it climbs back up to the respectable profession it once was. Again, good luck and best wishes to all you honest ethical mortgage professionals out there.

Congratulations on the pending arrival of the baby and best of luck with your new adventures and/or career.

I agree that it will be a long, hard ride to a point where this industry can provide good opportunities again.

It is starting to sound as if there are as many recruiters as folks looking for employment.

Let's hope not.

maybe it's just me but I'd have a real problem getting a ticket from a cop who used to be a mortgage broker. There's something wrong about that. It's like finding out the preacher at your church use to be a used car salesman. Best of luck anyway. I live in FL so I dont think we'll cross paths.

Nah, didn't you hear? He got out of law enforcement. If I remember correctly, he became a mortgage broker.

He leads infommercials for bogus ripoff deals in places like Buella Vista - way overpriced land

Every industry has their quirks...name the next 'job' you are taking and anyone can list 8+ negatives about it...

Life and work aint easy..and the grass is not always greener. But good luck anyway.
