Congressman Waxman, are you also investigating if Senator Schumer (D-NY) was involved in IndyMac's stock drop?
Lawmaker Explores Mortgage Giants' Falling Share Prices By Jeffrey H. Birnbaum Washington Post Staff Writer Thursday, August 7, 2008; Page D01
Rep. Henry A. Waxman (D-Calif.), chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, has asked the mortgage finance giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac whether they know of any White House involvement in the recent decline in their share prices.
In a letter dated Aug. 1, Waxman told Freddie Mac chief executive Richard F. Syron that he was "evaluating" whether to "open an investigation into the circumstances that precipitated the recent distress in the shares prices of Freddie Mac."

| Great, all the democrats can do is having hearings to blame the Bush, instead of solve any problems we have such as high energy costs, illegal immigration, etc... |

| Waxman wouldn't go against his colleague Schumer, regardless of his role in the demise of Indymac |

on the subject of "Having Hearings"
Republicans had more under Clinto then under Bush
There was a study done that showed the hearings accomplish more then passing bills.
If you talk to the people that work and live in DC, No one worked that hard in Congress in the first 6 years of the Bush Adminstration.
I am not talking about media, I am talking about the people that run the support indurtries that are in DC |
