You have to purchase a router that plugs into your computer and your phone plugs into your router so you are basically making calls thru your computer - if you have the cell service - when you walk into your home your cell coverts to a wireless home phone and you are not using minutes any longer - they were talking about it this morning on Good Morning America - there may be a link there that you can find out more -

I have tmobile and i was told that its out now and you are just adding it on as another line to your existing cell phone basically for $10 a month unlimted calls anywhere. It is VOIP as someone said earlier you have to by their router for like $60.

As per the comment about your cell turning into a wireles phone at home, I might be mistaken, but from what i was told in order for that to work that way you have to have their special WiFi cell phone and you also have to add a plan to your account for i think $20 in order for you to make calls form your cell for no minutes. I could be wrong, but i think that's the way it works.

I've been considering adding the $10 line to try it out, but i heard you have to sign a 2 year contract on all your lines then. I haven't checked it out with tmobile yet to see if they offer a 30 day trial period or something like that. i would think that they would, but who knows these days with these companies.

i have two magicjacks and they both suck. Some days the quality is like a landline, other days i can't even make a call. Tried everything and even other locations with different internet, and still the same. I'd never use it on a regular basis.

I think magicjack works like a dream, for the price, no better value out there...

I too have a Magick Jack and there are times when it does not work properly...but for the most part its usually okay..and even if its not perfect, you cant beat unlimited calls for the price.

I was hoping the t-mobile might be a better product I could use for my house with out internt access...guess not.

Why not get Vonage for $25 per month? It works great for me. Just connect a 5 GHz cordless phone into the phone box (which connects to your router), and you have wireless in your home and yard.

Magicjack, Vonage and all the VOIP services really only work as good as your internet service is.

I had issues 3 years ago with Vonage and Cox Cable high speend, Switched to DSL and have not had any issues.

Just dropped vonage and using Magicjack. Works great
