WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Bush dropped his opposition Wednesday to a broad housing package aimed at bolstering the sagging economy, despite his objections to including $3.9 billion for neighborhoods hit hardest by foreclosures. The House was expected to vote on the bill Wednesday, and it could become law as early as this week.

If you are so inclined, stop the bailout by signing the petition.
Please go here http://tinyurl.com/yumoag to read and sign the petition. It's up to you to keep your children and grandchildren from being indentured servants to the ballooning national debt. It takes less than five minutes to read, sign and confirm your signatures. Upon confirmation, your Senators, Congressman, President and regulators will all receive your fax in opposition to bailing out the rich at the expense of the common man. |

The current version is the same one the house passed weeks ago, the senate didn't make any amendments becasue the trouble with Fannie and Freddie accelerate dtheir vote. The bill is now back at the house where they are expected to make a few amendments known as the "Managers Bill". the house should pass it this afternoon with a chance that the senate will follow suit by the end of business today.
It's about time. |
