We're seeing an influx of nearly hundreds of prospects we're in contact with after I discovered one of the largest "web design" firms that sells "custom websites" actually sold over 500 clients the same website for their mortgage business.

So my question to you guys is, if a company charged you $800.00 (They're going rate) and simply gave you a copy of the same site, same text, same colors, and same images as 500 other customers (the only difference is your logo instead of someone else's) while telling you it's a custom design how would you feel?

Especially since the site performs poorly and they charge hundreds of dollars to modify the changes?

What would you do if you could?

Thanks guys.

Tell other brokers!

What's the name of the firm so you may save some other unsuspecting brokers some coin?

I'd rather not, but I am personally contacting every customer personally ;).

What about potential customers? The people you are contacting have already paid out the $800. Doesn't it make more sense to warn people who are thinking about spending $800 to get one of their sites?

Typically webdesigners or template co's will disclose that you are buying a "one of a kind" site and you will pay for it. For 800 if it takes apps and has any kind of security you should be able to pay a craigslist poster $500 to make it pretty nough for you. Then you will be a unique snowflake, space monkey.

I'm not complaining, I'm going to sell these guys decent sites. I wanted to hear your thoughts.

This is a blessing for me.
