Have borrowers lost hope when they're score is 50 pts or more below lender standards? What do you offer them? Is it credit education or do you refer them to a third-party? Whats been working for you?

Credit counseling and/or credit repair; depending on the situation.

Credit Repair companies are abundant which can be confusing (7,300,000 on google), cost the consumer too much in most cases to be affordable and as the last post mentioned the average credit score has dropped dramatically in a mortgage loan scenario so as to cause discouragement on the part of the consumer.

We're currently researching timely alternatives to the third-party credit repair route centered on self-help and comfortable third-party assistance. Our intent herein is to get feedback from the mortgage professional and not to advertise, however we do offer a credit education tool that can be used in conjunction with a self-help route, or a third-party assisted effort. In the best case scenario the third-party should be the person handling the loan.

You're dumb, I love how you come on here and ask questions like this but obviously are trying to sell your own credit repair. Do you think that people don't notice?

Average credit scores by region are avaiable from CRA files and the current national average FICO mid-score is 687.

Credit scores are not really an issue with new FHA guidelines right?
