Well, we have great 3/1 and 5/1 rates but we only lend in CA and AZ right now

Astorias adds for CA are rediculous, making them not even worth using.
If the loan is in CA or FL, Astoria is not the lender of choice.

What are the banks that are not taking on any new brokers? our corporate office might be approved with them. I will look into Astoria. Looking for all New England states.
Just had a guy that said he was offered 5.625% 3 or 5/1 Arm I/O on 900K SFR 50% LTV FUll DOc in MA with only regular closing costs. Seems too good to be true but there might be some portfolio lenders doing this. Any clue? |

That was probably an Astoria offer. They're an east coast bank and really shine in E. Coast states.
The banks that I was speaking of above are CA based banks. Any super-jumbo competitive bank is only accepting pristine brokers in this marketplace. You have to have clean credit and you have to have a net-worth equal to the loan amounts your going to be doing, or they won't take you on. Welcome to 2008, right?
