I know this is a long shot, and I've talked to a lot of you off-site, but does anyone know of a lender that is doing foreign national loans in SC. I've got customers that are willing to put up to 50% down on new construction townhomes in the $250k-$300k area. I think I've got a pipeline of about 40 borrowers if I can get the first one done, in this market any help would be appreciated.
BTW - I just located this site in the last week, and man, what a resource. The information that I've seen, and the advice given is outstanding, keep it up, I will read every day. Thanks. |

Working on one with World Savings for a foreing national. They are requiring 35% down. Borrower was trying to buy and RE0, and had no finalized sales contract. Not sure how the recent changes at Wachovia/World have affected their programs. Looking into it today.
My guy was buying it as a 2nd home, which is how World requires you to do it. To clarify, he's not buying an investment home, he's actually buying a new primary residence, but we're having to call it a 2nd home. His primary res right now is an owned apartment in Hong Kong.
Very easy loan process, so far. Hopefully they won't pull the program.
Also, Citibank does them, but I don't know all the details. My guy has a b1 Visa (not H1B) and they wouldn't do his visa type. |
