I was driving home last night and needed to stop off and get some Vodka. I was driving down the road looking for the entrance road doing 50 in a 45 MPH zone, saw the entrance clicked on my turn signal took my foot off the gas and noticed in my rear view mirror a pick up that was riding my butt, so I decided to not try and slow down and cause him to slam on his brakes and possibly cause an accident but instead to go up to the light and turn in there. Well I turned off my signal and excellerated; all of this happened in a second or two.
This red neck idiot in the P/U flew past me in the inside lane and he stuck his arm out the window gave me the finger and cursed at me, then swerved in front of me. I just laughed and shook my head at him. Well he saw it and again stuck out his arm and middle finger. We got up to the light and he was going straight and I was turning left so as I passed him he stuck his head, shoulders and arms out the window and started yelling at me and cursing and gave me 2 middle fingers. I in turn just laughed at him again.
Now I was thinking as I sat there waiting for the light to change what an idiot he was; and that he needed to take a chill pill. Maybe he was upset because he just filled up his big monster truck up with gas for about $150.00 that would only last for 3 days.
I have heard stories of road rage in California but never experienced it before.

Well not me personally, but there was an incident here in Florida with at woman who was out driving one night and her child was in the back seat. She was sitting at the traffic light and noticed the light for the cars in the opposite direction had turned green but the car sitting didn't go. They just sat there. She blew her horn to alert them and not even a minute later multiple gun shots consumed her vehicle. So she jumped in the backseat to shield her child and caught a bullet in the arm or leg. When they caught the people in the other car, all they could say is, " I didn't know who you were."
That's crazy. I know I won't be blowing my horn at other cars at night. |

| In Miami, they'll usually wave their gun or fire warning shots, seems to be more effective then giving the middle finger I guess. |

I was once at a light in Brooklyn, NY and some guy was upset that the guy in front of him stopped too quickly for the light (I was behind the 2nd guy). The guy got out, and went over to the car in front of him (passengers side). I dont know if the window was open or if the guy opened it for him, but he leaned in and began wailing on the guy. 3 or 4 punches, then he jumped back into his car and tore off.
Be careful out there gentlemen....

I was in a car with my Godfather and my dad. My godfather is Irish Boston in the McNeely family (if you recal Peter McNeely was the first guy Tyson fought when he got out of jail). We are on a one way street, cab driver comes the wrong way.
Yelling starts happening, my dad wants nothing to do with it since I am in the car and probably 5-6. My godfather goes to the trunk, grabs a bat and smashed the cabbies hood and knocked a couple dents into the side. The cabbie then backed up and we were on our way. |

I saw some in the NY tri-state area but nothing like here in Florida. Drivers her in Northeast Florida are sick people ... enough to keep me very calm. I try not to even make eye contact with anyone who exhibits any degree of aggressiveness or rage on the road. I think most enjoy seeing me pull to the righ lane as I am within 5 mph off the speed limit in my Carrera and they passing me at 25 mph above the speed limit in their big suv or truck.
Too many people carry guns ... not worth engaging any of those fools ... even laughing at them could get you killed! |

OK ... so I have a question for you and other Florida drivers. Do Florida drivers care about speed limit signs?

FL is only place I know where you can be doing 80 in a 65 and still get passed by a big rig pulling a load. I've had the cruise on at 85-90 just to keep with flow. Although now with gas prices I'm seeing everyone driving slower both in the city and on the highway. |

You are so right. On one trip from CT to FL, I had to get my speed up to 105 mph to pass a big rig (old Diamond Rio tractor towtruck) towing another tractor (without the trailer) and moving at 95 MPH on I95 just south of the GA border. I never saw anthing like that in the NY area ... and I used to drive cabs in NYC during my college days.

| In the paper today they were talking about the rush to get Motorcycle licenses. I guess starting today it would require you take a $200 safety course and people did not want to pay. The guy they interviewed failed, and they let him take it later and he passed. Some guy shows up, takes the test on someone elses bike and dumped it. They said there are 9000 motorcycle accidents a year in Florida. with gas prices going up there are going to be even more idiots down here on bikes they don't know how to ride safely. |

Yeh South FL, you have elderly who can't see over the steering wheel or drive wrong direction up a road, 16 year olds in their sports cars, and then all the foreigners, tourist and NY'ers haha....combine all that and driving down here is like a modern version of Mad Max. |

Hey ... stop dissing NYers. That is a favorite passtime of Floridians. I bet you wished Amy Fisher was gaga over you instead of Butterfuco .. or whatever his name was. She was sexy though ... in a homely sort of way.

I don't know about all that but I do know that on the southern I-95 corridor they NY'ers love to just get in the left lane and stay there, no matter what speed they decide to go, please get out of the way NY'ers! |

Remember, a lot of them can't see over the wheel when they drive. They look like remote controlled cars.
Worst drivers ever are in metro Atlanta. 85mph in a 60mph zone and accidents all over the city. Great pecans though! |

| Driving through parts of King and Pierce County in Washington State can be interesting with a 1/3rd of the drivers on I-5 are medicated. The other 2/3rd's are looking for their next fix, weather it be coffee or crispy cream they get nasty on the road. Traffic in Hilltop Tacoma is more peacefull than hwy 16 any day. |

Well, being new in California, I cant believe how fast people drive on PCH, if you are going to make a right turn, you better do it fast cuz if you dont you will get rear ended. Since I dont know Malibu very well, I dont know where to turn until i am right on it, by that time it's to late, gotta pass and do a u turn.
I cant believe how Motorcycles go right in between the cars, right down the middle, that freaked me out, I am getting used to it now. I would never do that, so dangerous, but here in Malibu, they all do it. People drive 80 down PCH, cops everywhere, but they dont seem to pull anyone over for it, at least I havent noticed.
Going to Santa Monica today to the ATT store, none in Malibu. Going to ***** about that f'ng Iphone, no reception anywhere, even with a full signal no one can hear me, so tired of it. |

| Let's not forget Houston. 85 in a 65 with an open 6 pack and a loaded 9mm and you caan get stopped for impeding traffic. Welcome to ca Kathi. Enjoy. The best one i saw was a gridlock on the 101 interchange to sb 405. Someone in a 300 wouldn't lay off the horn and the redneck in front bailed out of his truck, over the hood and through the sunroof to wail on this chump. |
