This is what i have received today. Date: June 27, 2008
To: Mortgage Brokers
Re: Harris Bank Home Equity Broker Program
As all of you are aware, there continues to be changes in the mortgage industry. In response to changing market conditions, Harris has decided to exit the home equity broker channel.
New loan applications will be accepted through 5:00 PM June 30, 2008. All loan applications in process will continue to be processed. Existing loan files need to close within 60 days of submission, no later than August 29, 2008.
We have worked closely with everyone for many years. I truly thank each of you for the business you have referred to us. This was not an easy decision to make, but the changing market conditions we are experiencing makes this the most prudent path for us to follow.
Any questions, please direct these to your Harris Bank relationship manager or to our main number at 847-434-2155.
Sincerely:
Greg Walsh Director Harris Bank Home Equity Program

They sucked so bad in the last year, they were a joke to work with... It was better to send your loan straight retail where at one time they had 660 stated to 100 ... They would 4506 all stated broker loans...but if you sent your loan to a retail banker, they wouldn't check out anything... Harris Bank is a joke |
