I am a branch manager for a company in TN and we are in need of some LOs. The owner refuses to get FHA approved, so I have lost a lot of potential business, and good LOs. I need your help. What would it take for you to change companies, if the new company did not have FHA? Thanks for any help you might have.

in this economy, not having fha approval is insane. I suspect that your owner CAN"T get fha because of his lack of assets,,,and if he's that weak, can't imagine going to work there...sorry.

just my 2 pesos worth

I would suggest that you find another branch and then find LO's.

Six figure salary with no volume requirements, no responsibility, and no expectations.

Seriously though...it is going to be hard to recruit without FHA.

Hi Ashley,
I agree with everyone else that must have the ability to do FHA.That being said i have a net branch with a great co. and they have been around 15 years and are licensed in your area.If you want to hear more give me a call.

Mcdonalds has a sign clearly posted on the front door "Individuals coming from a real estate or mortgage background need not apply"

Much like every other organization in the country.

Well I was being sarcastic about mcdonalds, but minimum wage is far from 30k a year.

In So-Cal it's shocking how many random companies are blackballing anybody from the mortgage industry. All I want is a regular job with regular hours so that I can go back to school, and of about 75 applications, I've had 3 interviews, a single second interview, and 1 commission only sales job offer.

Well the only way to get a job right i found is to get referred. If you really want a new job, talk to friends etc and see what they do and what opportunities are in their companies. If you find a company and don't know anyone, you need to take initiative and apply direct and call HR to try to set up the phone interview etc..

I wasn't actively looking but got referred to a company, got a 60K base with a target income of 132K 1st year, benefits are GREAT.

They flat out told me their interview process is current employees, then referalls, then maybe internet applications. They interviewed me liked me and I got the job. Talked to the recruiter for the company (internal recruiter) and he said he got 500 applications for the job in a week. They only did 10 or so phone interviews and I got hired.

What industry?
Are you just doing loans on the side for fun, or are you out altogether?

I am going to keep doing loans on the side for fun, I figure I can work 6-10 hours a week in evening and do 1-2 loans a month just from leads I still have and referrals.

My new job is in another industry, start in July

What would it take for me to change jobs? At this point, an hourly wage and the guarantee to never have to look at another loan file in my life! hehehe...
