This was put in secretly and affects all and any mortgage employees and realters, your customers could be fingerprinted next after you.Fingerprint Registry in Housing Bill, Starts here where does it end. A lot of people will be affected such as Realtors, and any one who works on mortgages. This is an invasion of privacy and will be given to the FBI to form an FBI database, which according to many groups, it's information can be stolen by terrorists groups. Your fingerprints will be taken and this It is simply just too much government intervention. This was put into the Housing Bill the last minute, secretly, behind closed doors, and not disclosed properly. It has been preapproved in the Senate and will be going for a full vote shortly. Hardworking, honest, average citizens should not be fingerprinted unnecessarily.
This is like a form of the Real ID act and next they will ask for customers to provide their fingerprints. *** This is just the beginning, if this Bill is allowed through and approved other industries and organizations will start Fingerprinting. This bill will pass if people don't act and call the Senators below and any others they can think of immediately.
****Tell everyone you know to email their friends, family, etc. and send an email and phone calls to as many Senators and Congressmen as possible. First, call the White House hotline and tell the President (he is thinking about Vetoing this) NO , you are against the Fingerprint Registry which the Housing Bill secretly and dishonestly included 202-456-1111 comments@whitehouse.gov *****
Preferably, the Senate Leader Harry Reid and Senator **** Durbin and the following Senators (and any others you can think of) on the Senate Banking Committee and tell them No, and they must take the Fingerprint Registry out of the Housing Bill, which was included without telling the public before it passes the Senate next week. It will hurt privacy and rights, but also possibly prevent future customers from getting mortgages due to fear of fingerprints as well.
you may phone the United States Capitol switchboard to ask for the following Senators below at (202) 224-3121 -have a name of a city in the Senator's state handy if asked by the particular Senators secretary taking messages where you are calling from.
**VERY IMPORTANT CALL AND EMAIL the following in the order posted:
*****Harry Reid Majority Leader (utah) http://reid.senate.gov***** Can take out of the Bill Singlehandedly
Republican Minortiy Leader Mitch Mcconnell (Kentucky) mcconnell.senate.gov

agreed , no arguments, But,you know the government they loose nuclear material/data and Vets/soldiers information, they will loose your fingerprints or they will get stolen. lets be real people!!plus, once it starts in one industry everyone will be fingerprinted and many customers will not feel comfortable with this thankyou.
It is not us who we are worried about. Lastly, again, do you want you personal info. taken , like ID theft and do you want more big government or less. also, once the govt. does this on one thing they will keep increasing govt. intervention thankyhou |

| guys I know many states fingerprint , this is fine . here is the problem though all the states will be pulled and put into an FBI database where you info can be lost and used fraduantly. I don't mind state regulations, the problem is when the government at the federal level will be in charge and be able to confuse and mess things up. states can do what they want, you are correct. |

| I agree, and don't think that it is neccessary among all of the other licensing we have to go thru for the FBI or other to have a database of my fingerprints, financial info, credit, etc etc etc. What happened to privacy? I understand in this profession you lose a bit of your privacy, but what next- DNA sample? |

naked scans with alien probes to make sure we arent alien hybrids, then they will want to know how many times you had sex and what you eat to correlate it with risk and other people who have committed fraud after they had too many twinkies.
stats, checks and balances the most powerful are the most corrupt among us unfortunately, but as they say those in charge and those who have the money in power make the rules until you can unseat them???????? so what else can we do other then move to out of the country or change professions which I probably wont after investing 20 years into it already. |

Not sure what the big deal is here. Many states fingerprint. The feds have mine from when I got my Series7 license years ago.
I would like to see them add mandatory licensing at the federal level along with fingerprints and toeprints if they like. |

| So what? Been there done that. You must not live where regulation matters? What next? A test? Gasp. Have been finger printed and a background check is run every two years for me. Unless you have something to hide, why is this even an issue? |
