I know I may be jumping the gun...its only Thursday! But I am ready for the weekend to hit and kick back at the pool. What are you guys doing?

People here in AZ? Hitting the River? The lake? The pool party? Staying in to work?

Keep cool -

I will be working except for a period of time on Monday. Then, I will open a bottle of Jim Beam. I will toast three shots to "old friends, absent, but never forgotten", and then I will take a taxi to the local Vet Memorial. I will leave the rest of the bottle there, along with a note requesting that any Vets visiting the Memorial have a shot in remembrance.

I have been doing this for 6 years here and this will make number seven.
Last year, there were two other bottles with similiar notes when I arrived with mine. I have been told by a friend who was there throughout the day last year that by the end of the day, all three bottles had been finished, by Vets young and old. And all were very respectful.

Wish that this would catch on elsewhere.

Wow that pretty cool. Is that considered 'appropriate' and/or 'respectfull'? If so, that is a decent idea.

I'm off to San Diego for the weekend! Going to visit my family and friends. I'm sure I will have a drink with my Brother who was in the Navy in rememberance of those who gave there lives for this great country of ours (no matter how messed up it is now, I still love my country). Enjoy the sun fun and friends and have a belated birthday party with them all! Good by Gig Harbor, hello San Diego!!!

I think my community is having a party. I may swing by the pool and meet some new people (newly single). Other than that, getting my new digs in shape and making it the flyest it can be. I was supposed to go to the country, but the gas prices are preventing that.

Bob,

I will add a beer to the evening bbq in honor of your dad.

I love hanging out at the Memorial for a couple of hours, both on Memorial Day And Veterans Day. Such a connection among those who have served. And if the "old-timers" get a feel for you and trust you, the stories they tell are simply unreal. It really awakens one to the realities and horrors of WW2, especially in the Pacific. Vietnam was no walk in the park, but Saipan, Io Jima and the other islands were just plain frightening. I doubt if I could have kept my sanity there.

I will be working at my restaurant. I'm franchising my restaurant if anyone is interested. We have been slammed ever since it opened.

Next weekend, going to a Redsox game.

We had some big tornadoes here today, FREAKY

I guess it was a mile wide and traveled 35 miles on the ground, I'm glad I live in the mountains. They don't come up here.

Had to cancel the Havasu trip, too much fun/trouble for me this year!

I will be working early Saturday... Followed by Wakeboarding at sunset (perfect glass), and the UFC 84 Party afterward.

Sunday will be a pool day and Monday will be beach cruisers and good times in PB.

Everyone have fun, stay safe, and don't drink and drive!!

Well then I'm stoked for you D!! As I told you in the past, when I was promoting US Bank, I just like to point people in the right direction. It's nice knowing I can help someone get that much closer to acheiving their goals.

Additionally, I'm a big believer in Paying it forward. I have had too many amazing people help me grow and prosper in my life, business and personal, to not do the same for others.

You get back what you put out, in one way or another, and that's a fact!

So true! That attitude makes people wonder their way up the ladder. The law of attraction is 100% real.

Taking my boy to Big Bear Lake for some four wheeling and fishing. As a cost cutting measure, I traded in the Audi this year for the much cheaper FJ Cruiser and swore I would actually get it dirty so here we go.

Have a good one all and I'll echo Boarder's advice to give up the keys if you have a few-just had a good friend make a bad mistake and it costing him big in a lot of ways.

Catalina Island, but today we had snow in Riverside county and even a tornado. Looks the weather is pointing us to the Mission San Gabriel.

My niece is getting married on Sat. What a weekend for the wedding. My son is ring bearer so we need to be up in LA for the rehersal and all on Friday too. Just got a hotel up in LA for four days and I am actually going to relax. I told my wife my phone would be off, but I know I just can't live without it. Checkin tomorrow at 3:00.

I remember my sister's best friend got married Memorial weekend a few years back. The wedding was a hot, stinky, fonky MESS! The brides family was so damn ghetto. I had to beg the caterers to stay after being called all sorts of disrespectful names. The groom's family was classy, except for the felonious groom's man that tried to start a food fight. Other than that, the location was beautiful. I said all of that to say, I hate holiday weddings.

Last time I was in AZ, it was like 116 degrees. But it felt so good. I love AZ. Can't wait to move there.

We have about 110 acres of really pretty land with a few stock ponds. Bringing the family up there for a bon fire, some fishing, four wheeling and probably a little too much drinking once the kids are asleep. It is always a lot of fun.

Watching grandsons play baseball in three different leagues...today and tomorrow. Sunday will be a day of rest, then the Memorial Day parade Monday (one of the grandsons will march and play...he'll be the only one in line) followed by a family barbeque.

Just perfect.

I hope you all have an enjoyable three days.

Working this weekend, most of it anyway. Taking a long weekend next weekend around our wedding anniversary. Going to the Lake and just kickin' back for 4 days. Mostly sitting in the Lake drifting since we can't afford gas, but we can afford beer, cheap beer, but still beer.
