I got a message from my processor that my loan was denied due to a debt that appeared on CAIVRS.....but she says she is being instructed NOT to send me any of the info. Isn't she required to send the department and phone number to the borrower at least?
Background: At the outset, a small delinquent student loan appeared. The borrower paid it, and processor #1 suppressed it and we were clear. Later, I had to switch banks....I'm thinking this is why the debt has reappeared.
Any thoughts? |

It sounds to me like your broker is taking a very hard line. Aren't we all in this together to get the deals to the table? If a borrower does not have a clear CAIVR, it may be very simple to still get the deal done, depending on the nature of the deficiency. At the very least, the borrower is entitled to know what HUD is reporting and to try and resolve the problem. HUD encourages the resolution of these delinquent obligations, since they are government related.
If you need additional help, please feel free to contact me and I will try to help you. Good Luck with your deal
