Any Suntrust A.E.'S out there? I need corroboration as to whether or not an A.E. has company authority to decide if they can setup brokers working from home.
I recently sent in a broker package to an A.E. and got the following response:
"I am not setting up brokers who are working from their home at this time."
I am a licensed broker since 1990 in good standing. I have always worked out of my home. Taking applications by phone or visiting with clients to sign 1003, disclosures, etc.
Not brick and mortor shop, sole proprietor. Never had a problem with a lender entering into a wholesale contract with me or my company.
If this is B.S., I would like the name and contact information where I should be sending this app to. I am in Florida. Thanks, George

They are not even automated and their rates suck. They need to get out of the stone ages. They can only continue to lose money for so long before they are shut down.

| In Florida Suntrust's rates are horrible. Probably the single worst of any A paper lender I am signed up with. |

Terrible turn times out of Nashville, Tn office on FHA. 10 day plus. Very conserative company. You can send the file to them and get 15 stips; Send it to another lender, 5 stips.
This has been my experience. Just passing it along. We dont use them for conventional due to we have an in-house contract mi underwriter.
