My ex partner recently got a tax lien on his credit, score is about 600.

Maybe below 600, he will pay off the lien.

He owns 2 houses free and clear value at $300,000.

He wanted a line of credit on the properties. Maybe 100,000 to 150,000

He can go full doc if needed.

Its a shame - he had 720 scores a few months ago, he missed one car payment, he was on vacation and now the tax lien, (he was on payment schedule) and his credit tanked!
