My borrower has been asked to prove that he does NOT pay child support. We have the divorce decree and it shows he and his ex share custody 50/50. His pay stubs do not show any child support deductions. The title search was clear.
We know that he does not pay child support and never has. Why are we being asked to prove something nonexistent? They say he needs to get a letter from the court but they have no idea what would be involved in that. A letter from his ex is not acceptable. Ugh.

Call child support recovery. I am sure that they will tell you that they do not have the individual on file. I have had to call them a couple of times and they are really nice.
