Sorry, but Ive never had this situation arise. Are there different rules regarding licensing for Hard or Private money? For instance I am only licensed in FL. I have a client with a property in NY he would like to refi thru hard or private money. Do I need to be licensed in NY? Again, sorry if it sounds silly, but Ive never asked or been asked. Thanks

If it is a residential property, you need licensing in the state of the property.... if it is considered commercial.... you do not....
