| I wish this kind of stuff never happened. But, it does. Now I wish they can find more survivors. |

| No ... not compelled. There are a few specific things that get under my skin and cause me to respond with sarcasism or anger ... and yes, I sometimes regret doing it. |

yeah were past the turn arround point. You can believe what crap theyre fillin ya with but Im sure most who get the check are going to end up paying some bills.
Now if they lowered the gas prices down to about 1.00 a gallon....that would be a start. Until then the poor (and whats left of the middle class) are going to get poorer and the rich (Im talking ultra rich) are going to get richer. |

American products are major items, such as health care technology that hospitals use, cars (forget about it), planes.
I guess yes, if you need one of these things. |

| check your household, everything is made in china, from shampoo to soap to toothpaste to canned goods to even frozen meat and bread. Not to mention the clothes you are wearing, the sheets you are sleeping in, there is nothing left of made in the USA. |

I agree, and that was the purpose of the thread. Not a Marx or RonPaul propagandist or a supporter of hate mongering blue-collared bloggers who watch O'Reilly . Just a guy who looked at his "Rockport" shoes, and saw it was made in China. Then discovered that a "fancy compact" I gave my mom said made in China. You could imagine at this point I contemplated back to the 1980's when everything was slowly being manufactured from China, now it is complete and utter domination. And people, please, be mature, don't hate on China! It is our fault! What is going to happen to us? |

| I try to buy German, U.S. or Japan products if you can, they cost more up front but you get a much better product and it lasts longer with much better quality. In the long run it is cheaper to buy quality than the unsafe junk China throws our way. I ban Chinese poison junk all I can, it is all cheap trash. |

Assuming original topic was about imports, if you try hard enough, you can buy American made products.
What happened in China was a natural disaster, or an act of God, depending on your beliefs. You could have done nothing to prevent that, do not feel guilty. |

My heart goes out to all the people in that region. It is not the people that get me upset, it is that our government that allows child labor or people working for a dollar a day to bring us cheap products.
I've seen a documentary about people there living in cages not big enough for a dog, working all day just for the food for that day.
We, as americans should boycott products that are being produced under those conditions, just to make the millionaires here more money. |

I consider myself very lucky to have beeen taught in early life to believe in myself and not follow any flock.
People that are only concerned about themselves should think about this. May be drastic but true. Whenever you buy the cheap stuff from china, consider this, how many people died in the assembly line from a contagious desease while making the baby food that you get so much cheaper? |
