Cheap entertainment... cheaper than taking a family of four to a movie. ANY VIDEO GAME |

if you divide the cost by the hours of use its really inexpensive over the long haul, as long as you dont have to hear the sound effects all day |

| Yeah and you get to shoot hookers and run over cops (who are trying to arrest you for breaking the law). |

Good point. I am shamefully pleased to announce that I watch all of my movies online; no more movie going for me beyond once, twice a year. And I don't think that the kids are the main culprits buying that game; but many adults (18-30+)! |

| I wonder who realizes that was actually a movie in the 70's. |

I'm sure over 70% of people who purchased the game were adults, not children. And I mean purchased it for themselves, not for their kids...

| I can't believe people actually let their kids play that game. |

Yes they do. That's mean that there's possibly 5,000,000-10,000,000 kids playing that game. :( |

It was probably parents buying it for their kids so they won't have to watch them and let the TV raise them. Then they wonder why they are so screwed up.
I'm 32 and we didn't even have a TV growing up (hence I am the second of nine), but in reality, no TV, no video games and my parents (mom mostly) raised us. It is a different world. I still refuse to buy video games for my son, but we do have TV, and cable. |
