FHA will most likely raise the cost with rate, monthly MIP, and/or the funding fee.

as well as allow no or very little compensation on the transaction i would imagine.

still gotta clear the Senate

IMO its too little, too late. 6-8 months ago this may have helped but at this point we may as well just bleed the crisis out and fix this the right way.

my question is how can the gov force a bank to accept less for a payoff? they would have to offer major tax breaks or some form of incentive no?
