I have watched the CNN Special about the Mortgage Meltdown four times now and I must request that anyone who knows Jon Shibley, CEO of Lenox Financial, please keep this "Train Wreck" off of TV.
If you could have picked the Stereo type Broker, who thinks his arrogance and persona makes him the next JD Rockefeller this was the perfect guy. If you want to public to understand the Mortgage Brokers position and the complexity of the current meltdown… this well tooled egocentric genius was not a good choice.
Not only did he Talk Down to everyone at the table (Instead of talking to them with well thought out positions, backed up with facts), but this colossal “Train Wreck” gets called out on the Settlement of a Lawsuit and manages to keep his pompous azz persona intact.
If we want to the public, and Congressional Leaders to understand our importance, we have to insist that professionals represent our Industry, not someone like the Mortgage Broker in the CNN Mortgage Special.
Edit: BTW Jon Shibley if you want people to take your comments serious, you might want to use a Professional Job Title, listing yourself as "Mortgage Broker Extraordinaire" let me know right from the start that graduating the 8th grade does not always prepare one to be an expert on TV.

| Thank God someone is calling this pathetic Idiot out! He is on radio in Colorado blaming Builders, Realtors, and Mortgage Brokers for the credit melt down. Run to him because he is the only one you can trust! |

| I like how he immediately had to "correct" the lady as if he was the real expert, and basically said the same thing she did. That guy was a moron and I'm glad she had him set up by having his lawsuit handy. However, the fact that she had that handy showed her prior intent was to bomb the blame on Brokers. |
