Looks like I will be looking for some where else to hang my hat. Yesterday the Real Estate building that I worked out of caught fire. The A/C unit outside caught fire and ignited the mulch around the unit then it quickly spread up the building and into the roof. There were 11 folks inside when it happened, all got out in time; no one was hurt.
The building is a total loss, it needs a new roof and needs to be gutted out on the inside and rebuilt and rewired. Projected down time is 4 to 6 months.
I guess I will work out of my home for a while, and figure out what I am going to do for an office. I had a pretty sweet deal at the RE office, only paid $450 a month for an office and had all the support along with it; phone, fax, copier, conf room. |

| Yeah I know, also since I am a Net Branch all records are kept at the Corp office, and I am only working on 4 files that have not been submitted, I got a hold of the clients this morning so I can put the files back together. Also we work off a server at corp, so losing the computer is OK all data is on the Apex Server, however I did lose all my saved doc's and such. Life must go on. |

"Fire breaks out at Fort Pierce real estate office
Monday, April 28, 2008
FORT PIERCE — A fire broke out at a real estate office on Virginia Avenue Monday afternoon, closing down part of the road while firefighters were on the scene.
The fire started around 2:30 p.m., St. Lucie County Fire District Catherine Whitaker said. About a quarter of the single-story office at 4075 Virginia Ave. was ravaged by fire, the rest has heavy smoke damage, she said.
The building, which houses Ray's Real Estate Service, was evacuated and there were no injuries, Whitaker said.
Investigators are looking into the cause of the fire, but said it appeared to start in a shed adjacent to the building. They said the fire did not appear to be suspicious Eastbound traffic on Okeechobee Road was diverted away from Virginia Avenue to make way for fire trucks."
Ray's Real Estate Service? Hey, at least it did not appear to look suspicious. Glad everyone's safe. |

Mark, You may want to have a good alibi. If the media finds out you are a mortgage broker they will try to blame you.
Good to see no one was hurt. |

| Thanks every one, Dan: I already thought of that, when the fire marshall and police and media came around I maintiained a low profile. Not all 11 were realtors. 2 clients, me, the RE secretary along with 7 realtors including the broker. |

LOL! If they can blame us for bringing down the country, I'm sure they can find a way to blame you for this also. |
