Has anyone ever tried marketing their website to affiliates who will drive traffic to your web site, and you pay them per lead?
Is this legal?
Could you 1099 these affiliates?
I wonder if anyone does this |

The problem with these programs is that they have to be policed heavily. I ran an mortgage affiliate program awhile ago thru Commission Junction with thousands of affiliates. It just doesn't work well, unless you have a handful of trusted folks to work with. Our program as well as many others have been shut down. Lendingtree, HSBC, LoanWeb - all gone. There is just too much room for fraud doing this type of affiliate marketing.
Perfectly legal BTW
