The 10-Million-Dollar-Man of Mortgage Marketing Mike Miget Mortgage Marketing Maverick™
Mike Miget of http://maverickmortgagebroker.com I have heard that this person is a scam artist. Is there any truth to that? I read an article that he was affiliated with other scam artists. I have read that Mike Miget asks people to give him huge amounts of money for common information that is of very little use. Is that correct?
Mike Miget The The 10-Million-Dollar-Man or ding bat? It appears that he advertises as a Mortgage Marketing Maverick. and places a small trademark symbol at the end. He stole that trademark from Maverick Mortgage and is advertising without their consent. No ethical business person would scam people and steal Registered Trademarks from other companies and pretend like they own them. Mike Miget The "Mortgage Marketing Maverick" looks like a common thief.
I will continue to review this company so be sure to be on the lookout for my new articles. My new article titled "Mike Miget Trademark Thief or Ding Bat" will expose how he tried to register his mark but was denied due to prior use by Maverick Mortgage. be sure to check that out! This article askes the question. Does Mike Miget really use another companies Registered Trademark without their Authorization. With all of his millions why does he not have his own Registered Trademark? If he is so ethical then why doesent he ask permission before he uses other peoples property? I will continue to post honest and informative review about Mike Miget The "Mortgage Marketing Maverick" and other such companies as long as they continue to promte thier companies with stolen trademarks. Mike Miget The Mortgage Marketing Maverick are you a thief or just a hillbilly without a clue? Is it true? |

Miget is pretty accessible, if you have questions that you want to ask him, why not just pick up the phone and call him?
I've met people that have taken his coaching and used it, and others that say it has not worked. I'm not a member of his coaching; never have been. I know that he sells debt consolidation plans as part of his mortgage service, and that he targets people with good credit and good equity. That's about all I know about his stuff.
Your post seems like a one sided rant, and it's not even backed up by firsthand experience.
You're not even asking if his stuff works or doesn't work, you're basically asking if he's "just a thief" or is he a "hillbilly without a clue". If you don't like the guy, then just say you don't like him and explain your position.
How about asking "does it work" or "does it not work"? ... and seeing what type of responses you get.

| If Mike Miget was accessable as you suggest why is there no contact number, address or email on his site? If he is honest then why does he want a certified Check or Money Order Only? You are entitled to think what you want. Opinions vary! That is why I am asking if Mike Miget a scam artest? Since you don't have any first hand knowledge your opinion is not credible. I have read that he is a scam artist and that he targets poor and elderly people that need help with their credit. The articles that I have read suggests that Mike Miget straps these poor and elderly people down with as many fees as he can. I simply askes if this was true. Is Mike Miget a con artist? I think it's a reasonable question. I noticed that he has numerous negative articles that suggest unethical behavior. I just want to know if some of that is true? I have also read that the Mike Miget secret system for success is basically common knowledge and that it's not worth the time or money. Is that true? If you have not attended this session then you really don't know. I am always interested in hearing an opinion but, David Mordue, you are the one that appears to be on a "rant" You don't even know what you are talking about, and you are quick to defend something you don't have a clue about. I am looking for the truth and simply asking some questions is the Mike Miget Mortgage System a scam? Let's expose the truth weather it be good or bad. I notice you didn't mention anything about the Trademark question. It looks like this guy is riding on other peoples reputation? He doesn't own the Maverick Mortgage Trademark does he? I saw that information on another Mike Miget scam post. I am wondering if it is true. If Mike Miget is honest why do all of these articles talk about him being a scam artist? If he has made all of these millions of dollars then why do these articles say that he violates Trademark law and uses another persons Registered Trademark without their authorization? More importantly what are his Registered Trademarks? Companies that make money like that don't scam off of other people they have their own Registered Trademarks don't they? David, you should get your facts togeather and post some information that I can verify. Some first hand information would be great. If you don't know just say so. It looks strange that you are defending a guy you know nothing about. Perhaps, there is some special interest here? That's cool but you should explain. Are you related or is this really a Mike Miget alies? God bless. He is Holy! |

I am a former employee of Shelter. His business works like this. He puts out an add in the St. Louis Post Dispatch on how he was an accountant and how you can eliminate your debt easily with his simple method all you have to do is call in and get this free report. When borrowers would call in, they would be directed to a call center to take the name and address and captures the telephone number. At the call center, they get a little info about the current situation that they are in. That's handed off to an LO to solicite for a mortgage. If they didn't want to give any info over the phone, he would solicite them through the captured number to solicite them. Now here is what you have to understand. Most of the people that call in are people that don't have mortgages, have less than $1000 in credit card debt, and basically people you can't help. He also does a direct mail campaign that he uses. These are targeted leads that he buys that have good credit and at least 20k in credit card debt. He mails them what looks like his article from the newspaper that is torn out and has "call this guy his program works", printed on there. Now in his reports or in his letters, they in no way shape or form say that they are a mortgage company. Most of the people that I met with don't know this is a mortgage company until they walked in the front door. And most of the people that I refinanced, we had to do a 125% second to get them to qualify. So what Mike is doing is finding people that are on the edge of not being able to pay their bills and "bend them over the barrel". That's part one. We used a company called Total Debt Solutions that would have a real nice looking color print out of how bad the situation really is. Total Debt Solutins ran by Ed Baker is a company that will make the payments on all the debts that we cannot payoff and excelerates them by taking what little savings you could provide and applying that to the credit cards, car payments, etc. The cost of this program on top of the loan is $5k. Now what you need to know about his business is that it has gone way downhill since the credit crunch, he will try to use this as an alternative for people that are struggling, but lets be honest. The borrowers that get caught up in this program are no better off two years from now than what they would be if they refinanced. I was charging people up to $15k for a single loan. And you are correct in your post, it's mostly ederly people that are in way over their head. Another thing that Mike forgets to tell you is that his business is so bad that they recently fired their processor who worked their for 8 years because they couldn't afford to pay her anymore. The manager of his company has had his house foreclosed on and has filled bk twice, and there is one LO besides the manager workingt there. I've been to one of his lectures, and all it is is a feel good seminar that gives you hope, but doesn't tell you anything unless you pay another $3k to stay for the next day, which again, he doesn't really tell you anything. You have to sign up with him, which then he charges you monthly to learn more about his "technique". On top of this, he sells you the data, which he buys from a company and then sells you at a higher price. Mike makes money off of every aspect of his program. So if you think it is worth it, then go ahead and throw your money away. From my standpoint this is a ripoff. Scott Tucker is his mentor in his marketing scam. All it is is a way to get people to spend top dollar to not succeed. If his program was so good, why doesn't he have an office full of people doing this. I was very successful when I started at Shelter, but as time dragged on, people eventually caught on. There is no secret formula in this business. If you don't sound good on the phone, your not going to succeed. That's it. Mike doesn't have any type of special program that is going to get you to close more loans, all you get is a bunch of calls from people who again, you can't help, that don't have mortgages, or just curious for the information. The direct mail is a little better, but not what he's charging to tell you. Mike is a smart person, he's a millionare off this marketing scam. It sure as hell wasn't from closing loans. In some of his adds, he states he grossed 2 million in gross profits, that's not a lot, especially after paying all business expenses. Honestly Shelter will probably be out of business in a few more months. The cost of these free reports he sends out is rediculous. Unless sub prime makes a comeback, you'll lose money with him.
