So what is really going on at Chase, anyone have any strange deniels recently that don't add up, or maybe some delay tactics. Do you think they are just holding out.

I use them all the time to, but they are taking forever, holding back, somethings up. I think they are a strong bank and in no way in trouble but the underwriters sure are getting tough, maybe just overworked Debbie |

| They are shutting down wholesale, building up retail... isn't it obvious? |

| I do agree with you there. The underwriters are very picky and slow |

So? They can shut down their wholesale, keep open Retail and Servicing. The future business of Wholesale is questionable everywhere... Chase is also in process of opening up a ton of Retail branches... we don't have many, if any on the west coast and once that happens, they could probably care less about wholesale... Just my opinion though.

You couldn't be any more wrong. They are overworked, when that 7 year FHA arm was paying out of this world, they got ass slammed with loans, you woudn't believe how many. They wer so overworked where our files are, 5 underwriters walked. Things are a mess right now because of that 7/1 Arm, wish i never posted about it here.... |

My opinion has SOME substance though. They have already reduced 80% of their wholesale work force, and the Branch Manager of Carlsbad's Home Loan office told me that he too thinks and sees the focus going more toward retail and it's likely that wholesale won't be here with Chase this time next year.
I know they are backed up, but I don't think my diagnosis is farfetched... |

| Chase will be the last, mark my words, last to leave wholesale. They have weathered this storm too well, why would they want out? |

To each his own, I disagree.

| Hmm.. I didn't submit any deal through them since 3 months that I have signed up with them. Then after three months I started to give them deal and the AE said Chase cut me off? lol. |
