First let me say this is not an easy post for me as I have to admit I was duped and that doesn’t happen to me often…We were approached by FSA and asked to participate in a unique program they had using their non-profit…Everything checked out including references and anyone that knows me knows I’m fairly diligent, especially with my money…
I bought $5,000 worth of the leads he offered as I was sold on them… I was so excited about this I decided to share what I discovered, like anything you find that you like, you share it and I had all kinds of plans for this new resource…In that effort, 10 or 15 BO members signed up and began their campaigns…
Right off the bat there was issues…First I thought it was because I overwhelmed him with more business than he could handle and instead of doing it the way I would, and stopped until he caught up, he kept taking on business giving me lines of crap…I decided to stop referring new orders to him to allow him to catch up…I know I told at least 20 BO members that tried to sign up the same thing, may be one of them will chime in…
Well, I don’t know what happened, the next thing I know I’m getting calls, “what’s going on with Brett?”…I didn’t know as they signed up with him for a campaign of his and worked with him...I wasn't in the loop and had no need to be…When I finally managed to get in touch with him, I told him how disappointed I was and that I wanted MY money back and refunds for everyone I referred IF they wanted it…
Since that day, guess what, I haven’t heard a peep from him…I’ve called him literally 100s of times on his home, cell and office to no avail and I don’t have time to chase him all day…It has become a legal matter and that’s what we pay attorney’s for, to handle contractual issues so we can stay focused and moving forward while they deal with those that screw us…
I can’t even remember the last time I got burned like this and I’m embarrassed beyond words over it and more so, that I referred him to people that trusted my opinion, I’m now guilty of “bad referral”…We’ve all made bad referrals before, but man, it ***** as I know many people did it because of their faith in me, well, I’m not perfect and I got snookered…I feel terrible about it and have offered my help to anyone that has had trouble reaching him…Many have got their refunds so I know he is taking care of people, just not at a pace any of us would deem acceptable and his lack of communication makes it very frustrating and drains your confidence…There is very little you can do when someone won’t answer the phone, you have to turn it over to the people that we hate but have to handle these situations, the lawyers…What else can you do except stagnate and make even less money focusing your time on a legal issue?...
All I can say is that anyone that has ever dealt with me and anything I own or am in control of has never been burned, ripped off or lied to, homey don’t play that which is why these people trusted me, but because it didn’t work out, now I’m the bad guy…And in their eyes I understand and feel terrible about it, I don’t usually steer people wrong… Again, I’ve been accused of over-delivering, being responsive to people’s needs, helping any and all who ask, giving things away, but after serving the BO for 18 months, never of lying, stealing or ripping anyone off…Has everyone found success, of course not, nothign works for everyone, but they didn’t feel like they got ripped off, that’s just not my style…If one did, they would all have to feel that way as everyone gets treated the same, THAT’s my style…
The main reason I started my own company was so people didn’t have to deal with this crap…All I can say is I made a bad decision and referred friends that may or may not lose money, so steer clear of FSA if you’re ever approached by anyone dealing with them and for those that have threatened to vent on me for getting them into this, so I offer my humblest apology, throw myself at your mercy and give you your chance to voice your opinion, I just hope if you do, you're honest and fair... |

OK I'll chime in.
I havent posted on BO before, my marketing director (my wife) handles this end of our business, and she doesnt want to make anybody look bad but this time I couldnt hold back so here it goes: Over 7 weeks ago my company opted to go forth with your new marketing plan and I say YOURS because you fully backed it and you brought it to the table as your new program, at that time you directed us to wire you the funds to pay for the program, for some reason or another you had us wire the money to someone else (this was only done because we had trust in YOU from previous business transactions and your reputation here on BO) I personally know better than to wire funds and know if you are truely reputable and can back your product you should be able to take some form of credit card, my wife on the other hand just had way to much trust in what you say, this is where our problem began. Now that things have gone sour with YOUR new program you are stepping back and accepting no accountability for whats happened ACCEPT that youve made a bad decision or in your words "bad referral" and youve forwarded us (BO members) IF if we wanted. I wont bad mouth you or be unproffessional regarding this fiasco all I will say is "Shame on you" for the way you have pushed this mess off on all the people whom YOU sold this "bad referral" to. Good business practices 101 would tell you to try to make up for your mistakes "Somehow, Someway" maybe offering some alternative compensation such as other leads or services, or even possibly helping YOUR clients recover their money(not just by giving them a list of useless phone #'s to call)No matter what happens from here, I dont think you have handled this problem in an appropriate manner, we were YOUR clients not FSA or Brett's, and this whole issue leaves a terrible taste in my mouth. I wouldnt have posted these remarks re: this but you brought it to the table and asked for my opinion and I hope it is more fair than the way I feel youve treated us over this problem. |

Was that fair Greg?...Funny how you didn't mention that you've been MY client, not Brett's, for over 5 months and you've never had a complaint, but now you only tell the bad huh?...Why did you work with me for so long, riiiiiight, because as my clients I treated you 2 like royalty...According to Danielle, you didn't lose ANY money with me, even if you add Bretts money into that, you still didn't lose and from our last conversation will still be making more money off of us...Forget that part too huh?...
Welcome to the outpost Greg and thanx for being fair!...
Here's from one member that I have continued to help, because they asked professionally, hopefully this person will chime in:
"""I'm the one that has to thank you and at the same time apologize. This was a nightmare but at the end if it wasn't because you were involved I problably would not have gotten my money back. Thanks a million man!!! This is why your name and reputation is huge!!.....I checked with my bank for the wire and they confirmed that it was not cleared yet but that it was there, that made my month if not my year. I also told her the same thing, that if it wasn't for you I would not be getting the money back."""

I would like to say a few things.....
First off I know dang well it took Stephen a lot to come here admitting his screw up. From Stephen's history he has helped a lot of people and allways maintained his word from what I have seen. From the times I met him he always was a stand up guy and not here to hurt anyone intentionally.
That being said I do feel that he should have done this public apology and admit guilt to this board, I would have done the same if it was me. Its not anyone here's business who was behind the scenes on this one. I agree with Greg that Stephen did use HIS reputation to sell this new product that didn't pan out and pointing the finger here is not right in my opinion.
On another note I have personally worked with Danielle for a few weeks now and Ive talked with Greg once or twice. Very well to do people that work hard as evident by Danielle expecting a baby soon and still working her azz off to do loans. I also know that they are very down to earth to work with and even on one night where we couldn't get them leads she was very understanding and we worked it out. I think that it probably took Greg a lot to post his thoughts on this new matter because its obvious he's not a big poster at all. I just wanted to give some insight on Greg an Danielle as clients.
In conclusion let me say that I don't think Stephen should be viewed in a negative manner for his one mistake. He did come here to admit it and from the sounds of it he is helping his clients get their money back. I would do the same so at least hes doing whats right now.
Stephen, keep your head up dude. dont get mad at the pissed off clients that got burned on this one. I know its hard to read that you messed up after you just admitted it but all you have to do is fix it. we all know your a good dude and you truly do care about your clients. But at the same time you did F up pretty good on this one so dont get mad at the clients or the guy that duped you, just fix it and take care of your client from here on out. Just keep doing that and im sure the community will look past it as you have done good for so long. Like I said dude keep your head up and just keep working hard to do good for people and you will get past this. I have faith in you.

Hey everyone. Ok. I see that Stephen has come up and stand up on this issue and like Raymond said it takes a lot of balls to do. I'll tell you my story. Just as everyone else that was involved as a client with this leads I went forward with it because of Stephen's reputation and nothing else. The main problem for me was that Stephen never told me that this was a third party deal. As far as I knew this guy Brett Saso was supposed to be a "partner" so I felt that my investment was going to be secure. I don't know about anybody else but I never got ONE LEAD!!!! This guy Brett Saso kept giving this stupid excuses why I was not getting them. First was because he was sick, the next day was because the IRS had been at his office!!!! the third day was because everybody in the office was sick!!! and that some of them had even gone to the Hospital!! I knew from the first day that there was something wrong when he said that he was sick, well, I thought they had telemarketers working there. I didn't know this was a one man shop. I said to my self, damn how in the hell is he going to serve all the clients? There was something wrong. I contacted Stephen and he told me he would find out what was wrong. The next day came and the next day and this guy Brett had vanished!!! No reponse from my emails, no response from my phone calls and voicemails as well as Stephen's. By the 5 day I was asking for my refund. I was very upset and was trying to stay in touch with Stephen. He instructed me to get in contact with Brett but this fricking guy was gone!! Stephen gave me some numbers and 2 of the 3 where wrong!! To make a long story short I got very upset with Stephen as well because like I said I went into this because of his reputation on BO. I think that when he saw that this guy was not really answering me or him he decided to take it upon himself to get my money back. This was a relief to me because it did not seem like he wanted to go after this guy before I told him how upset I was that my 2K had been stolen. HE (STEPHEN) STEPED UP GUYS. He contacted the district attoorneys office and the FBI filed complaints and made it clear to Brett Saso that he had done that on one of his emails. He emailed me the agent's names and phone numbers so that I could call and try to nail this guy. Well, guess what. After about 20 emails, 15 phone calls even at his home with no answer Brett Saso came out of his hole right after he got Stephen's email with the FBI and District Attoorney's info. He contacted me apologizing about everything and that he was looking to borrow the money to pay me back!!! BORROW THE MONEY!!!!!! this was not even a week later!! and he has used the money!!! Anyway, he asked me to wait for him another day because he needed to borrow the money and that the next day he would wire it back to me. The next day he emailed me and said that he was waiting for the wire transfer # and about an hour later he emailed me that #. I went to my bank and confirmed that it was in process. IT WAS!! I got my money back the day after. I can tell you that this was a nightmare, this was hard earned money on my part and I could not believe that I had lost it. I can also tell you that if it wasn't for Stephen I believe this guy would have never refunded my money because to be honest with you I did not know what to do, how to get it back, I mean, I'm in Cali and this guy is in the middle of nowhere in N.Y. So there. That's my story. HEY STEPHEN, JUST LIKE I TOLD YOU THE LAST TIME I EMAILED YOU. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR STANDING UP AND BACKING ME UP ON THIS ONE. IF IT WASN'T FOR YOU I WOULD HAVE NEVER GOTTEN MY MONEY BACK. AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED YOUR REPUTATION STILL INTACT. |

The measure of a man is not the mistakes he makes... it's what he does to correct them.
Stephen has always been a stand up guy. Nobody on this forum has any reason to believe he won't continue to be one.
We've seen other instances similar to this... anyone been here long enough to remember Real Deal Phil?
When the **** hit the fan on Phil's deal he vanished from the Outpost never to be heard from again.
Stephen will still be here tomorrow...
