#1- We are looking for an investor to put up $3 million for the completion of the prototypes for a share of the company. We can also secure an investors position with a piece of property located in Mexico currently appraised at $60 million.
#2- The car will qualify for the $10 million federal bounty for a high mpg, low emission family sedan.
#3- We have an agreement with a Chinese car company (SHAC) to purchase the technology under license for $40 million if we can deliver the prototypes. They want to build the car under license in China. We will build in Mexico.
The money is to be able to complete the prototypes before the 2008 Olympics where the diesel-electric hybrid will be roll-out for the first time.

Never ever, ever.... EVER, believe what a client tells you. You must approach every deal like the princple is lying to you.

Now, with that said, you can buy lists for this stuff and start cold calling investors. There are a hundred different marketing firms if you do a google search for "Investor Lists" or "Investor marketing lists".

If you want to make the big bucks, you've got to do the dirt work. But again, don't just take the clients word for it. Do your research. Tear him a new one and once you are 100% convinced that the odds are in your favor (notice I didn't say "that he's not lying to you" because they're always lying) then you can proceed on getting the capital in.

If you're willing to do the work, you should get a piece of the big pie. Equity! ask for equity in the project.

I hadn't even read it when I made the above post. All investor requests pretty much fit the same modus operandai. Find an investor! Start pounding the phones until you find someone willing to talk shop.

thank you for the advise! I have the appraisal for the property in Mexico showing the value to be 61 million. I have a letter from the Jilin provence of China in regards to the Olympics, I got their business plan, the patent list, the proto type costs breakdown (this car will be getting 80-85 MPG), Chrysler has offered them 60 million for the patents (and can show the offer letter)so I beleive I have some solid information here. The problum is that they need to "complete" the prototype by April 30th and are 3 million short of completion....so time is of the essence....I will try your suggestion with the google search. Thank you for your input

I have absolutely no experience in doig something like this....when I start my calls to these investors what would be a suggested "script"? and do I keep all of my clients contact info to myself and work as the middle man in order to protect my profit? And someone suggested I ask for "equity" as in a share holder? please advise, for when it comes to Investment Capitols I am very Green. Thank you,

John

the company you get the marketing lists from will have plenty of ideas on a script.

Yes, equity as in shares of the corp.

If I missed something, email me

well... past what david has said....

let me tell you this...

i've seen this deal - if it's not this deal it is it's mutated twin sister.... we spent many long hours searching for a source... we found two.... but in the end the 'borrower' went away.... i believe that the 'borrower' that i had was just looking for 'money for nothing'.... i even visited his 'prototype shop' and met his 'engineers'.....

because he agreed to giving me a 10% stake (5% for my company and 5% for a trust i have).... i agreed to work on it.... am i sorry i did? sure - but if it had worked out.... i'd be much much happier.... have to take chances in life.... calculated chances.....

good luck... have a nice night...
