How many are there of you doing this? I hear of it all the time here in Vegas but is this a national thing where a Loan Officer can and will moonlight as a health or other insurance agent?
Any feed back form those doing this would be great! |

Do you have insurance leads? My father used to work as an LO 90% of the time, now he's 90% of the time selling insurance. Maybe we can setup a TM just for insurance. |

great question....and thats why I started this thread....
i am starting to do health insurance appointments and leads. They are much easier to generate than a refi lead.
http://www.bestratereferrals.com/health_insurance_lead.html
i havent exactly launched fully yet as we are doing some beta testing right now but so far its going very very well. The nice thing is that its day time claling so it doesnt interfeear with my night time mortgage stuff.
Also for the Los that do health insurance as well, they may be able to double dip some of the leads.....
What are your thoughts? |

Sorry Raymond. I did not subscribe to this thread and have just checked back for the first time now. I will try to call you tomorrow. I've been swamped the past few days. Monday will be a nice catch up day for me. Talk to you soon.

| yeah, well health is the easiest way to set an appointment. Once your in there its easy to sell the other types such as mortgage, life, and dental. its just that every one needshealth but not everyone can afford life or dental. |

I was approached by a friend of mine and it just made a lot of sense to me. If you are interested in more information I could get you in contact with the company I am licensed with. They are worldwide.

The leads I am working off are mini applications that the client has filled out with age, weight, smoker/non. These leads are working very nicely. You do get some fall out after a couple of months but if you are doing it right you should be meeting with 10-15 clients a week. Give me a call with questions. It took me about 3-4 weeks to get licenced and closing deals. Richard White 517-490-0702 rickwmsu |

For those wishing to look into insurance and/or securities sales, take a look at www.hbwinc.com
HBW has a great array of products to offer. You will have the ability to market as a personal producer or build a team. There are NO recruiting requirements. We are totally noncaptive so you can do any other outside business you choose. You will have ownership of clinets and team from day one with no noncompete in agent agreement.
HBW Introduction: http://www.hbwinc.com/video/video.shtml
HBW Web Site: www.hbwinc.com
Products available with Life/health license: http://www.hbwinc.com/products/introduction.shtml
For investments HBW currently supports: Series 6, 63, 26 and 65
Financial Services in the next wave. Not to mention with some products the power is in the residual income. Whatever company people decide to go with read the agent agreement. Who owns clients and/or downline if you are a team builder? Is there a noncompete clause within the agreement? Are there recruiting requirements? ETC..
Build a team or personal production? It's up to you. Look at the benefit of building a team: http://www.hbwinc.com/about/building_video.shtml

| i am and the company i work with allows you to build a team nationwide so you can get paid on the deals that are out of your area. this is the exact plan that scott tucker charges you thousands for but we give it out free. you can do mortgage in all 50 states and then add the mortgage life or annuity product to double and even tripple the paycheck. anyone interested let me know and i will fill you in on the opportunity. |

There are some things to consider when looking at adding Financial Services especially with a marketing organization. Do they have a noncompet clause within their contract. If you decide to leave what can you take with you? Who owns the clients you bring in? If the company doesn't offer a product do you have the freedom to go out in the open market and get the product for your client?
For compensation can you advance with personal production or is recruiting a requirement? Is there a full time requirement at any time? Do you have to constantly requalify to maintain a certain commission level? Are outside activities allowed?
Ownership of clients and team are two major concerns. Read your contract. At HBW you can have ownership from day one..You can come and go as you please..

I work with World Group Securities. I also have the ability to build a team nationwide. I am not a big recruiter, I usually make most of my money from referrals, current and past clients on my own. The company allows you to just produce, recruit, or both. It's a great fit for me and i have no quota's and can work whatever schedule i want. It is an easy sell to my mortgage clients. These services compliment each other and the borrowers do not shop you because of the value you give them. This is just my own personal experience. Some are doing worse and some are doing better. This is a new avenue that i have added to my portfolio and every month i seem to be slowly shifting more from mortgage sales into investments and financial services.

WE now have insurance leads for the health industry. We call local small business under 8 employees and set up the appointment for the agents. They are pretty good and closing percentage runs between 25-35%. if you are moon lighting this may be the best way about making money and earning loan business like...gmodeazn... mentioned.
Best Rate Referrals is now exploding in many other industries outside of Mortgage.
Check it out...here is one of them...
