| someone told me the end of the month like the 25th, is there any proof any day is better than another? Mid month, I will try that! |

I would love to know if anyone has any evidence or statistics to back this up. Interesting question!
I don't have a guess. |

OMG, I started laughing at the title just imagining what answers would be given. Like the prior poster, I seriously suspect it's not a factor that weighs in, and proving it one way or the other would be very difficult. And if it really matters on the borrower you are working on, chances are you need a new borrower.
My vote is the sooner the better. Get rid of them before you waste too much time. |

YES! The best time is at 12 midnight, on the night of the full moon. How else would they qualify? |

Like Mandy said and What the CEO of Equifax told me
Better sooner then later if it is a borderline credit
According to the CEO of Equifax, it won't change more then a 5 point spread and will probably go down Earlier in the year when everyone is carrying Christmas debt.
Did his Refi for him and he gave me all these little nuggets here and there |

I have heard that its best to pull credit at the beginning of the month between the 1st & the 7th. The reason is because sometimes creditors are late reporting and if they are late then some items will not show up.
Not sure how true it is but I tried it once and believe or not, my client score was higher. |

I've always found that the best day to pull credit is the day I take the app...

I'd say it's all relative- If you have a subprime borrower with many lates, prob earlier in the month before the cycle of lates gets reported
Someone with a 700 fico, 1st or the 15th won't matter- good credit on the 1st will be good credit on the 30th.
For my bread and butter, 620-679 clients, I don't even try to guess a date to pull. I take the app and wor up a deal. In 10 years of viewing credit reports, I have never found there to be a trend of better days to rip credit. Best thing to do is view the report, and if problems, work with the client to get resolved and re-pull. But an arbitrary reason such as the day of the month a report is requested will not affect the score in any way I am aware of. |
