The link below is to an electronic petition to petition the US House not to pass HR 3915. HR3915 is a poorly conceived bill that will very negatively affect the mortgage industry and will deepen the effects of the current Credit Crunch. Basically it is grandstanding by Congress to show they are Doing something. Unfortunately the steps required in this bill are so poorly conceived that they will exacerbate the situation.
Better more constructive legislation is being developed, but this one is not the answer. There are two links below, one to voice a NO vote for the bill and the second is an overview of the bill.
Please distribute to everyone in your office and anyone who is potentially affected by government meddling in the mortgage industry.
