Companies do layoff usually on Casual Fridays so people can carry their own boxes out the door

| I thought it was Fridays because people were less likely to come in the next day and cause a scene/comit a crime etc if they had a weekend to get drunk, blow off steam, and calm down. |

conventional wisdom is that employees are less likely to 'flip out' on friday as opposed to monday. Most people are already coping with a 'case of the mondays'. |
