Effective immediately Loan City has shut there doors. They will fund through today only.

I called Loan City and talked to my rep. and she said they are toast.

| This is mostly flying under the radar around here right now. But this is fairly large as Loancity will have been one of the first conforming lenders to go under. This continues to beg the question as to whether problems are exclusive to just the non-prime sector. |

| cant believe there gone...they were SO HARD to get a loan to get through...if the went down, I cannot imagine how all the other lenders are still standing... Tried to submit 4 loans, all over 700 scores NONE got approved, not a one...big surprize for me |

DANKA...I agree..could not get a loan done there...A borrowers...FHA...just did not matter....they cut everyone of our appraisals and this was when values were still going up
I won't miss them |

Used them a couple of times in 98. Did okay, and then once, on a no point deal, due to their own fault, the rate lock expired. Rates had shot up considerably and I lost all my rebate, which was my commission. Over $5k. They "made it up to me" by a token $250 gift certificate and a fruit basket. Never used the idiots since then.

It is really sad to hear about Loan City I knew some people that use to work at the Roseville, Ca branch.
I am wondering if there is anyone who is looking for a job. I am hiring inside and outside AE's right now. You can send me your resumes if you'd like. |
